Having money from your game go *directly* to a charity?

I've been doing a lot of research into this, but haven't found a solid answer or an example to follow. Wondering if anyone has any advice on how to have your games proceeds go directly to a charity instead of your own bank account? I've reached out to charities directly, and none I've talked to have had any kind of program or system where I can have the money be sent directly to their organization. They all asked me to take the money myself and donate it every month or so. I'd rather not have the money go to my bank account at all.

Has anyone sold a game on Itch or Steam before and had the money go directly to a charity? Any advice and help would be greatly appreciated, thank you! :)

HI,

I haven't heard of a way of doing this for charity.

The only thing I've heard of is that you can have 100% of your funds go to Itch - but I don't know much about that though.

I doubt this would be legal as such or has so many side effects that this is not practical to do.

There are things like taxes and a merchant of the record. And a real charity usually has tax benefits.

You would still have to pay taxes for the income you then donate to some charity. And would in turn have tax benefits by deducting your donations from your taxable income.

I believe it would be more straightforward to encourage your users to donate to the charity directly, if you do not want the money on your bank account.
