Not so sure about buying it on steam.

I've played the Itch.io demo and had a lot of fun. I would love to purchase the whole version but I'm not sure if I want to go through Steam to get it, are there any plans to put the final version on Itch when the game is officially finished? I know there'll be more content and ease of use through steam, multiplayer for example, but I prefer not to use it when possible.

Seems kinda odd that you don't want to use steam, any reason?

Steam can be very inconsistent on my end and I have had better luck with Itch.  That's the main one as of right now, hoping to fix the issues soon but as of the foreseeable future I can't change much.

As in the downloads? Itch consistently stalls out with no reasoning for me lately. I've had that a few times over the years with steam but I can just swap locations usually and it fixes itself. If there's other stuff you don't like I guess that's fine too.

Ive got the complete opposite problem. Steam download games normally, yet itchio interrupts and eventually breaks in browser.

Bite the bullet.

Its just 10 dollars, so even if you lose your steam account or the servers go down, it's not a big loss.

Also keep a seperate, cracked version in case your internet or the Steam servers go down.

The game relies on steam for it's multiplayer/server functionality, so it's very unlikely there will even be so much as something like a non steam patreon version or gog version.

Couldn't private servers be handled without Steam though?

Seconded. Like the demo very much, but it's frustrating to be locked out of netplay due to a platform I don't use or support.

I also kinda wanna play it via itch.io, because with Steam you really don't own your games.

This, and I've recently lost access to all my games because I've lost access to Steam, and I won't be able to get access again for a long time, probably. Really feeling that "not owning my games" thing right now, so even when I gain access again, I'll be looking at alternate means for playing games that are Steam exclusives in the future, until the larger issue is dealt with, but it doesn't seem people are in a hurry to do so.
