Model texture feature request

I think it would be really cool and usefull to add a way to link a texture to a model/custom modifier that way if there is one attached no matter where you place it it always uses that texture, but if there is no texture linked then it just uses the old system of finding one on the floor

Pardon? Models are using it's own texture. Custom modifiers are transformed from tiles.

hard to get working though not very easy

if you dont use a texture on a model it just chooses a random texture

and downloadable custom modifiers as md3 would be nice

Then use it. What's the problem? It was intended to USE an actual texture, not to borrow it from floor or tile.

Since custom modifier is nothing but a bunch of primitives, you can literally build your own custom modifier in 3D software.

i cant figure out how to apply textures to an md3 file, it would be nicwe to be able to configure a a model and choose an image texture

Just put a PNG texture in Models folder and name it as as the model.
