what does the +/- next to a comment mean?

Someone keeps putting a - next to my comments

(1 edit) (+1)

It's just there to show whether people approve or disapprove of your comment.

There's no repercussion or penalty.

For example, if you ask for X feature on a game page, and you get -10, it simply means that the community of that game disapproves of what you're asking for.

If, on the other hand, you get a +10, it means that 10 people agree with what you're asking for.

Again, there's no penalty nor do you earn anything, it's simply an indication of how popular your comment was and don't give it any more importance.

On the other hand, if someone in particular is harassing you, that's already something serious and in that case it's best to contact support and provide all the relevant evidence.

thank you

Is there any way to see who is doing this? I think it’s one creator who had a go at me for asking a few creators for community copies

He went off his nut at me. Unfortunately I deleted my request on his page so I can’t remember who it was

As far as I know, this is not possible.

If someone has given you a -1 on different posts where you asked for the same thing, but hasn't insulted you, or hasn't been following you on other comments, it's not harassment.

It's simply showing that he don't agree with what you're asking for, even if it's in different games. And most likely, it's not the same person. Keep in mind that if you ask for something that's not popular, in each community you're going to find people who may not agree. Looking at your posts, I see that you have some with +1, others with nothing. I don't get the feeling that anyone in particular is harassing you. So I wouldn't give importance to a few -1 in some posts.
