I didn't recognize the head at first in the first image, I feel it is too distict from the body, and doesnt fit together well.
2nd image is very cool OoO
yeah, I'm not very good at making big-bodied characters, especially without a sketch to base them on lol. If I were to actually use it, I would use the second image, this one looks more like a title screen
