Will future updates effect the fps on low end laptops and computers?

I have a laptop capable of running the game at a good 60 fps on fast graphics, so i was wondering if future updates will effect that in a bad way?

Hopefully not too much.

It is possible that some of the higher levels in Endless Mode will perform a bit slower than normal, due to the high number of enemies present.

Let me know how it performs after you try the new update!
Performance is one of those things that need ongoing attention, so I'll likely take many more passes on improving various things that contribute to bringing it down.

its actually working really well, love the new update. the only time i notice a bit of lag is when i use the jet pack on the higher levels

I have a desktop and my specs are.

Intel i5-4440 3.1 ghz

Asus GTX 970 Turbo

DDR3 8 gb

500w Power Supply

I'm wondering if... after this game is complete and on the most lag intensive level will my computer run at 60+ fps on highest graphics?

I have no idea, but I hope so. :)

It's still pretty early in development, so I haven't aggressively optimized many areas of the game.
One of the problem children right now is saw blades. They'e super cool, but when things get caught in them they sink performance a lot. So that's one thing I'll try to make better in a future update.
