(HELP PLEASE) Starting up superpowers for the first time with no internet

so I downloaded superpowers through my phone because my pc's unable to connect to the internet lately. I already downloaded superpowers core and game but Im not sure where to place them, but it seems I have to download superpowers.json. when I start up the server first where can I download it and where do I place it?

You should put stuff in %APPDATA%\Superpowers. For instance:

  • C:\Users\Frostbitee\AppData\Roaming\Superpowers\core
    • package.json
    • client
    • public
    • server
    • etc.
  • C:\Users\Frostbitee\AppData\Roaming\Superpowers\systems\game
    • package.json
    • SupEngine
    • SupRuntime
    • etc.
That should be enough to get it to work.

THANK YOU SO MUCH finally I can get started really appreciate it, btw I have the super mega assets pack downloaded how do I use them?

You can import assets in the various editors. Not much to it, just import the PNGs into the sprite editor, the .bin / .gltf into the model editor, etc. See http://docs.superpowers-html5.com/ for various getting started tutorials :)

Hi,

OK, so I'm super newbie about this kind of stuff...

those stuffs you mentioned, where can I find them in the downloaded file?

I've downloaded superpowers-v3.0.0-win-x64.zip. After I extract it, I can't find the files you mentioned to put in %appdata%/Superpowers, and there're no json file type either.

Can anyone help me?

PS: I just saw there's new release v4.0, downloading it right now.

Open windows type "%appdata%" and create the "Superpowers" folder yourself :D

I see.. Thank you very much @Frostbitee..

So we still do need core files..

Because in the http://docs.superpowers-html5.com/en/getting-start... page said:

This should work on any Linux server including a Raspberry Pi.

I thought it was only needed by Linux user..

I'll download the core and games from github right away..

I'll ask here again if I'm still stuck.. :D

UPDATE: I'm still stuck.. when I double click the server it show message: "Could not download 127.0.0.1:4237/superpowers.json." I've extract and copy the extracted core files to: %appdata%\Superpowers\core , extract & copy the extracted game files to %appdata%\Superpowers\systems\game


So.. I'm confuse on what I've missed here..

UPDATE AGAIN:

Well, I don't know how.. after I read topic "Could not download 127.0.0.1:4237/superpowers.json", I click stop and start again without changing anything in the settings.. it run superpowers and I manage to create new project..


I don't know is it because I have to restart my PC.. have to restart superpowers or.. I don't know the reason.. but it work now.. thank you so much for everyone that give answer and solution..


I'm going to learn how to use superpowers now..
