[Art, UI, Writer] Looking for a programmer on a creepy/cute point and click game

Looking for a programmer to help me realize this point and click puzzle game I want to make.  School Night Séance!

---

-The premise-

Two friends, the impulsive Melony, and the skeptic, Letty, go out to a "haunted" house to investigate if it's indeed truly haunted. Once inside, they perform a séance. The room shakes, the lights go out for a moment, and when they come back on we realize Melony is all alone now and Letty has gone missing! But wait, Melony hears a voice from her walkie! No, it's not a ghost, it's Letty! She's trapped somewhere in the house and you've got to solve the mystery of the mansion in order to escape it together!

-What makes it special-

What sets School Night Séance apart from other point and click adventure games is the way you can switch between characters on the fly; what may seem like an impossible solution to one girl might be completely trivial to the other. You've got to search for clues with both girls in order to unlock of the houses secrets. You might even make a few new friends along the way!

-Scope-

My initial scope for the game is something fairly short, I feel like I'd want the length of a playthrough to be around 2-4 hours and as far as development time goes, I want to get it done within a year. I don't really think it would take a full year to finish, but I think it's best to start off with the highest estimate so you know what you're getting into.

---

I already have a good chunk of elements and UI made for it, so you'd have some material to work with right away if you wanted. This IS a paying job, though truth be told, I probably can't pay quite as much as you're worth, so I'm hoping that 50/50 ownership of the game would be enough to make up for the difference. This is something I'm hoping to sell when it's all done.

Please hit me up if this sounds interesting! I'm hoping to get production really rolling here as soon as I can.

Some gifs/images of the characters and environments

Could you explain the game mechanics? Here or if you prefer privately, I might be interested.

I wish I could post some bigger gifs, but this first picture is from my original mock up for the game, which kind of showcases the UI a bit. At it's core, it's just a point and click puzzle game where you explore the house. If you click on the character portrait on this screen, you would swap to the other character, who would be in a different location.

In the second and third pics here, this would be one of the first puzzles in the game, in which you would need to set the table in a certain way (how you're supposed to set it would be determined by the pictures on the back wall in the room) A lot of the puzzles would have their own screens you'd solve them in, so for this one, you'd just be choosing where to place each piece of silverware.

The last pic here just shows up what it would look like when a player would pick up an item.

Ok, I quite like the idea, we can talk if you want better by email, I also have discord but I don't use it much if you prefer, my email is ardleon@hotmail.com

I am a 32-year-old developer from Italy. I have been working with web dev and Python since 2011, a retro gamer for life. In the last 5 years, I started to apply myself to video games with Godot, also studying mobile and multiplayer. I am a terrible artist, but I can program almost anything in 2D. I am serious and professional, not afraid to commit myself even to curated projects that require time to be well done. If you have the assets and the work plan, I execute, test, and give feedback, while leaving the direction of the work and the final say on everything to you.

Loving the art style so far and from the UI sketch it seems artists on this project are highly skilled!

Hit me up on Discord!

Very interested.  I can handle anything in Unity, Godot or a custom engine for that matter. I wonder though if given the type of game it makes most sense to use a tool dedicated to point and click though e.g. Adventure Game Studio.

Think we've got our programmer now, but thank you all for the replies and nice comments!
