requests that are a good gimmick

I think that pocket platformer is a bit… open ended, here are some ideas that may improve satisfaction in the community, or at least me. custom rules: I think having a simple text to code system, where you write the description of a custom block and an AI tries it’s best to convert it to code, would be pretty fun, and the person can communicate with the bot just in case they got something wrong. more enemies: the enemies in this engine aren’t typically enemies but rather just obstacles that the player must avoid, I want at least 10 enemies that you can physically damage instead of avoid. custom powerups: all of the powerups are just seperate techniques that the player knows by default, why not something else like an extra life or a landmine ability.

Thx. I'll work on enemies soon, they have been requested quite a lot. Won't do the AI stuff, that's not really feasible^^

Hi all! I'm new at Itch.io but I've been creating small games for 20 years. I mostly use GameMaker. I adore no-code engines and I would be lying if I didn't say I'm more than a little addicted to "Mario Maker".

"Pocket Platformer" is an absolute masterpiece. I'm stunned. Thank you so, so, so much for this. It reminds me of "Bitsy", which I also love.

However, I really think do you need proper enemies for the engine. I know, I know, it's the same thing everyone has said already.  But I think it's a logical request... with enemies, we would be able to create true Mario-like, castlevania-like and even Megaman-like games. They would be smaller and more lineal, that's for sure, but still entertaining and way closer to the main source of inspiration. No complex AI is needed for that (monsters can just move back and forth or having a simple "chase" behaviour). I already have a couple of ideas that I'm very excited about!

Once again, thank you very much for your effort. I'm closely following the development of this project  :)
