#1- feature request

I'd like to ask about a feature request. This is the first time I've ever done this, and i own the discs for everything TSR made for D&D. The discs.

So, I was inputing some stuff in the bestiary for my campaign, which is an Oriental 5e campaign. First, I'd like to suggest a button that makes a copy file of a monster. Like, go to Goblin, hit copy, The software generates Goblin2, or something like that. Then, you can manipulate that file and go back and hit the save campaign button, and it saves.

There is some weirdness in making custom monsters. I have to hit new monster, type in the name, hit save campaign, and then input the information, then hit save campaign again. the software doesn't save if i don't do the first three steps. It erases the new monster info I've input, in fact. It took a while to figure out what I was doing wrong.

Id like that to be new monster, name, input info, save. It would be nice to have a save button in the bestiary screen somewhere so I didn't have to jump out to the main page. Thanks.

Hi and welcome!

First of all, welcome to the community. If you really want to jump in, come chat in discord - that's where we fling around most of the ideas that become features.

Secondly - and most importantly - I have those disks too! I loved some of those old tools, even if they were at times cumbersome.

To your requests (it's actually a few):

1) Copy monster makes sense and is fairly easy to do. In parallel I want to be able to create characters/NPCs derived from monster stat blocks, which all fits quite nicely in the same bucket. Consider it planned, although I don't know whether it is likely to land in v1.7 or v1.8 just yet.

2) The monster saving nonsense is crap, counts as a horrible bug in my books and needs desperately to be fixed. I'll put this at high priority!  Thanks for bringing it up!

Happy gaming!

Thanks!
