New Features

  • Credits Editor - You can now edit the Credits for your game from the new Credits tab located within the UI Editor. Currently you can choose between a solid color background or a map view (similar to the Main Menu). The "Edit Credits" button, located on the Properties panel below the background settings, is used to edit the text that will be displayed. More customization to come in future releases!

Changes

  • Added items for the "Move Character" and "Show Credits" functions to the Script Editor palette.
  • The "interact" cursor will now display when hovering over the dialogue/message box, inventory buttons/items, etc. to give a better indication that they are clickable.
  • Changes made in the UI Editor tabs are now saved automatically.

Bug Fixes

  • If the Main Menu is not enabled for your game, a "Press ESC to Quit" message will now be displayed at the end of the credits.
  • Fixed an issue where the "interact" cursor was no longer showing when hovering over a dialogue option.
  • Fixed an issue where occasionally clicking the left mouse button to walk in first-person view would not work after a map change.
  • Fixed an issue where the player's turn speed was sometimes set to the slower scripted speed until moving for the first time after a map change.
  • Fixed an issue where the Properties panel was not properly being refreshed when switching to a different game project.

Again you left the biggest error that the game doesn't work, because when I click on a button in a main menu, the game will be left with a black screen. I removed temporally the main menu, and the game was still a black screen. Fix that urgently please, get you more distracted by the main function of the game.

And it will be time for RPG in a Box to go to the alpha version 0.4, already you had been stuck in 0.3 versions for almost a one year.

Strange, I don't have any black screen problem with the latest version. Did you unckeck "Export data only" when exporting? Maybe your game executable is out-of-date.

Besides, version numbers can mean anything depending on the project. A major number change generally stands for a major improvement. There's no reason to increment this number unless the developer thinks there is. And in my opinion, the project hasn't been "stuck" at all, on the contrary, Justin is doing a great job and development has been very active. In any case, this is alpha software, which means you can expect two things: it may lack some features, and it may break.
