You game looks absolutely amazing. Is there any plans on launching on Steam in the future? If so, could you nominate a price to buy it on itch.io that would entitle me to a Steam key when it launches. I can't wait to play the game.

Thanks! We hope to release on Steam at some point but have no concrete plans at the moment. The game is a hobby project for everyone involved so we have to choose how we spend our available time. Right now we're focusing on bug fixes, updates and trying to get the game noticed. If and when we release on Steam the players who have bought the game on itch will get a key for sure.

Sorry to disappoint - hope you get to try the game out at some point!

If you do launch on Steam, please DO NOT try and force users to move to the Steam version - maintain support here.

The Steam client has been known to be causing medical issues for some users since late 2019 and Valve have openly refused to address any of the problems (there's multiple problems with the update which are triggering issues for different people). In June last year they made the problem worse by blocking access to the only safe workaround that existed when they first caused the problem.

I already bought it. THIS GAME IS UNREAL. It is easily as good as half the stuff launched on Steam. I am a massive Slay the Spire fan and Dicey Dungeon fan, and I actually prefer the base mechanics of your game more. You are on an absolute winner! I feel cheap having only purchased it for $5. I promise to purchase it again if/when it is on Steam. Please keep developing this. I LOVE IT. I haven't been excited this much about a game in months.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it! I'm a big fan of Slay the Spire and Dicey Dungeons myself so it feels great to get mentioned alongside those :).

Nice game. Could you build for Linux?

Thanks! It would be great to have the game on Linux (and Mac), but the game is a hobby project so right now I really only have time to maintain the Windows version. Sorry!

OK.

Thanks for the answer.

Does it run in Wine or one of the many front-ends that make playing games via that route easier?  Graphically the game doesn't look complex, and optimized fps is not a concern, so I would expect it to be fine.  Haven't tried it myself yet of course.  (If you have no idea what I'm talking about, investigate Lutris)

Thank you!

I just wanted to echo some of the comments here. This game is absolutely amazing and I really hope it goes to steam at some point. It's an insta-purchase for me if/when that ever happens.

I see far more reason to support games outside of Steam.

Especially now that Valve have openly declared war on customers with migraines, epilepsy, vertigo and several other conditions. Here, have some interesting reading. It's been closer to 2 years than 1 at this point:
