I almost quitted

I started playing a few times and I didn't see any option to save the game (not in the settings menu, not when my character was going to bed like in stardew valley) and I almost quitted. I'm glad I didn't. Now I know the game autosaves at the end of every day. Maybe you could add an option to save the progress? (or maybe there is a way and I didn't find it).

Also I was walking around (it was raining, about 2am) to the east of some chapel or something and I pressed m to check the map and my game froze. I don't know if it was the game or my computer.

P.D. Spanish is my native language so sorry if I wrote something wrong or if I'm not very clear.

Hi there, I’m sorry you had some trouble there. I’m glad you didn’t quit however. As for allowing the player to save whenever they want, I’d rather avoid it. Putting a system like that in gives players a chance to exploit certain things such as fishing or mining chances, or really anything that is chance based. Forcing one save per day tends to prevent that. I will add it to my list to maybe make some sort of prompt that informs the player that the game saves at the end of each day.

As for the map issue I’m not sure. I’ve never heard of the map key in particular freezing the game. When you say freeze do you mean actually froze, like the whole program stopped? Or did you just get stuck in the map screen with no way to revert. A good gauge of that would be for instance if you could still hear sound effects after it happened. If that was the case then it was likely a bug I can check out. If literally every aspect of the game froze it may have been your computer.

Also don’t worry about your English you sound fine. Far better than I would sound if I tried to speak Spanish, that’s for sure.

Thanks for answering so quickly.

Based in what you wrote then I think it was my computer that froze not the game.

I understand what you say about saving.  No problem. Maybe it was evident to everyone that the game saves the progress only at the end of day but it was not to me.

Similar to that (not been evident to me) I thought nothing in town was part of the game now, but later I was walking around and saw some parts are available. And the quest button been white (or gray, I don't remember) made me think that weren't available either.  But I think that's just me.

I really like the game. Great work!

Glad you like it. I’m also sorry some things are a bit misleading. I can totally see how someone might walk around and think stuff just isn’t complete yet. Just as a quick list for you, currently you can, plant crops and orchards, mine, fish, forage for plants and mushrooms, cook, decorate your house, and do (a very small number) of quests. Also in terms of NPCs there are only about 8 in the game at the moment but they will slowly filter in as time goes by. The map will also expand out and you’ll stop seeing so many unfinished area prompts. Anyway good luck, hope you have some fun without hitting too many bugs.

Also a bit of a shameless plug but if you have questions there is a nice discord community growing. I’ll post the link below if you’d like to join. I’m usually around from time to time and the people who hang out there don’t mind answering questions.
