Post Beta and Official release on the same page?

Hi everyone,

We are planning to release a public Beta for our game Ourea tomorrow. We are planning to release it on Itch in July for €6.50 and we are wondering if it would be better to launch the Beta  on a single Itch page which we then update with the Official game later, or if it would be better to make two different pages for each.

Thanks in advance!

That depends. Do you plan to have a complex price structure? Are they very different versions of the game? Is it possible that people will be confused as to which file to download? Those could be good reasons to have different pages. But even on a single page you can do a lot of things.

Hey thanks for the reply! The beta will be a free download but the official release will be a one time payment of €6.50. I think that's a good point about confusion, I guess we should take the beta down before the official release as to not cause confusion?
