Bug on launch

Got your game in the recent giant bundle. I've unzipped it and clicked on the game opening link, but I get a bug message every time.

Script 'Semi-Custom Save" line 61: NoMethodError occurred

undefined method 'rstrip' for nil:NilClass

So that's the error message I get. Did I open it wrong or something?

Same problem any clue how to fix it?

Having the same issue, no clue what's up.

I got that bug when I installed the game using the "version 1" zip file, but not when I install it using the exe file. You may want to try that, though I'm not sure if there's a difference between the two versions as far as content goes.

That worked for me, thanks.
The "Game.rgssad" files seem to be different in the different versions, everything else seems to be the same.

I tried this, but I had an error opening it as well. I'm glad this helps some folks though!!

Sorry for the late reply on this, for some reason this got lost in my notifications.

Is there a specific version of the file that you're downloading? And what operating system are you using?

It looks like the game is trying to create a save file path and for some reason isn't able to. I'll look into it and see what I can do.

Same issue here. I downloaded "last-word-win.zip" since it seemed the other ones were older, and it won't run when launching the game.

Could you try one of the older versions? I believe the only real difference is this bug, and if that's true, I might have an idea of what to do.

Downloaded the zip, that contained a self-extracting exe.
That one worked, the game starts.

So, no big difference? I'll miss nothing by playing that version?

No difference in gameplay whatsoever!

The only difference is that your save file will be inside of the Last Word game folder, whereas the previous version you tried attempts to create an external folder (which creates errors on certain computers). I'll make a post about it.

Thanks a lot for the confirmation. :)
