The library on this website could be much better. It would be great to be able to filter the library by tags the way you can in the store. The tags for the library items already exist, why not use them for more than just the store?
I think this sudden need happened too quickly for Itch to set up means to make the page look more presentable. It would take time to build or I guess partly import certain aspects like a tag / filter function at this time. There is a small notice on the download page saying, "We will be updating this page soon, we know it's difficult to navigate so many games. We know you want a button to add show everything in your library. No need to reach out. Any new games added to the bundle will automatically show up here. Thanks!"
Oh wait that's new. . . it didn't mention that they are working on a button. The client / app however doesn't sort based on genre / tags tho.
I agree that the library really needs to be improved. I have games (from this bundle and from previous ones) that I have a hard time finding because there's basically no tools for navigating through the things I own. I hoped that the desktop app would be better in that regard, but it has just as few filters for my library as the webpage does. I'd appreciate it even if I could dump my library to a spreadsheet (or csv) file and look through it there.
Alternatively, the normal store/browse page could just add a filter for owned items and call it a day, since all of the search/sort features I'd request are already implemented there.
This is literally not even about the bundle. The mentioned bundle is great, but I have items in my library that I cannot find that have nothing to do with the bundle. Anything I owned before two weeks ago is at the very bottom of my library, which is difficult to get to because the library is only in infinite scrolling mode (I can't just click page 30 or whatever to get to the end).
I appreciate your trying to help, but Itch has a lot of good games and content that weren't included in the bundle and navigating that is what I'm more concerned about. Honestly, the bundle page has text search, so navigating that is even easier than navigating my library is.
Definitely need to be able to hide stuff. I have a ton of fluff that I looked at once and will literally never look at again. That's the nature of a lot of stuff on itch. It's not meant to be something long lasting. A lot of things here are transient and they're meant to be transient. I've also got a metric butt-ton of stuff that I tried because it was free and simply did not like it. I have searched for this and there are topics going back at least a YEAR asking for the option to hide stuff.
Come on, itch. Get on it.
