Bundle Impressions

Clearly Jet Set Radio inspired game about skating and graffiti. I was only expecting more of a tech demo here and was pleasantly surprised to find a whole overworld, ingame missions of different varieties, story bits and difficulties and a pretty cool feeling jump/trick system once you got the hang of it and fly over the city. There are some oddities here and there, like the camera can be annoying sometimes and the mission/progression system isnt particularly intuitive, but the game actually works pretty well with a lot more content than you see at first. This is definitely a game that rewards you more the more time you put into it. 3,5/5

I'll add to this that I like what it is , the music is there and the style is right (though everything is aggressively brown, complete opposite to its inspiration). The tutorial is very barebones compared to how complicated the trick system is and the spraying mechanic. There aren't really enough elements to play with to fully grasp the controls. I couldn't get any speed on the half pipe.

I didn't get why the intro cutscene required pressing A so much.

The cutscene is more like a story book aesthetics, which I actually liked cause it felt like they tried to give it an interactive comic vibe, which could have been made a  bit more ... direct I agree. Still a cute idea. I was really surprised to see how deep this rabbithole goes, also in terms of exploration and what type of movement is possible once you understand the controls. Sprinting up between walls and propelling yourself to the top of a building this way feels pretty damn nice.

But yeah, none of this is really apparent to you right at the start and the game asks you to work for that enjoyment, which is a bit.. painful.

Mr. Dev fella, please continue working on this game because i'd love to see it in a more finished form, it's fun but there's still a little jank in the way it feels, and the overall introduction and presentation kinda require the player to already know what they're getting into... Other than that, and the lack of color, from a gameplay/gamefeel point of view, the game is really clean and I respect the grind.
