There's no restrictions on input, only resolution. :)

I recommend you check out the Pixel Perfect Camera Package for Unity. https://docs.unity3d.com/Packages/com.unity.2d.pixel-perfect@4.0/manual/index.htmlIt lets you keep the graphics to the desired resolution even when viewing full screen. Be sure to use pixel snapping.
