Racial Justice Bundle promised upgrades

I was just wondering if the promised changes to the Racial Bundle are still in the works. I have held off on really digging into those thousand plus games and other stuff because it is such a pain to navigate. When I bought it had no idea there were print-and-play RPGs in there, but I found a couple and would like to be able to look for more. I know there are a lot of tilesets in there, but I haven't looked any of them yet because I want to look at all of them at once. If you are looking for more community feedback in terms of what we want to see with those improvements, I'd be happy to fill out a survey or whatever.

I'll admit, I'm also concerned that this lack of improvements is going to have a chilling effect on Itch.io's internal feelings towards the Racial Justice Bundle and may prevent other such cool things from being offered in the future. I think it was an extremely cool opportunity to raise a ton of money and I'm sure something similar could be called upon again at some point in the future. I am worried, however, that such an opportunity may be passed over if the institutional memory of this bundle is just, "it was difficult for users to navigate so most of them didn't actually see everything that was in there." I would like to see this issue resolved in a way that gives the Itch.io team the tools to do this sort of thing again and I wanted to encourage them to keep working on it, if they are.

Edit: I'm worried that my original post may come across as entitled or demeaning of the devs who work for Itch. I appreciate the opportunity to support an important cause and to get access to a ton of great content. I know that web dev is not a simple thing and I don't believe that the devs are just slacking. I want to encourage anyone still working on this by saying thank you for your work and to let you know that I am eagerly anticipating those updates being delivered. Thanks!

Same here.  I've been waiting for that add all button before I really go through the bundle however it does not appear to be happening anymore.   I regret buying the bundle.  I thought I could just add all the games to the client and have a nice full library with a handful of pretty good games in there.

my purchase actually completely dissapeared.

Check your email for the original link. If you can't find it, try contacting Itch support and see if they can send you another link.

Came here looking for this... Any updates? I purchased and would really like to be able to open up the desktop client and install my games without having to first go click them on the website individually. I don't mean to seem rude, as I know this was a large bundle that supported a great cause for a low entry cost, but this is a terrible user experience. I was totally fine with the idea that this hadn't been considered at the time of the bundle but we are coming up on six weeks later. Not very agile.

I can't even find my bundle to be able to download any games. Thankfully I had installed a few right after purchasing but I can't figure out how to get the rest. Very frustrating

Check your email for the original email link. That is how I access mine. If you can't find that, can you try to get them to send you another link?

I know that based on how this has been handled I wont spend money here again. Promising something and then going radio silent on said promise is not a good look.

I also bought it and I'm disappointed

(+1)

Why? Hundreds of devs renounced their fee so that you can buy more than 1700 games for essentially nothing (and contribute to a good cause) and you are disappointed?

We want to add all of our games to our account.  This was promised and now nothing.

The whole bundle is 437 GB !!  Are you sure you want to download it all? If yes, go to https://www.reddit.com/r/itchioJusticeBundle/ there are posts about how to download all (and why better not). Maybe it's better to download one by one from the bundle page.

I don't want to download it all.  I just want to attach the games to my account so I can see them in the client.

Yeah, I don't get what people aren't getting. Anything not "in your library" doesn't appear in the desktop client. Which is why it is so baffling they haven't provided proper support to get it all in there. Until it goes in your library, it's like you didn't buy it as far as any integrations and clients are concerned.

FYI, in that same reddit there is a tampermonkey script that will go through the bundle and add everything to your account for you. The first version did it instantly and submitted hundreds of requests a second, which was problematic so itch asked people not to do that. There's an updated version that waits 2 seconds between each request, so it takes forever but gets you the functionality itch should've provided themselves without DDOSing itch's services. You just have to leave a tab open in the background cause it will literally take a couple days to do it for you at 2 seconds per request lol.

Hi,

Just wanted to add my voice to this. I keep refreshing the page every 3-4 days, hoping that some sort of fix will eventually happen, as I don't want to have to manually add all these games to my library, which is extremely time consuming and complete non-sense.  I've been patient, and I can remain patient as well, but there has been no update at all on this issue, and this is a little concerning, as we were told the page would be updated soon with a fix. A little communication from the devs would do wonders to let us know what's going on and if any sort of fix might happen eventually.

I agree with all the comments in the thread. Not wanting to sound ingrate, but you did take an engagement. Please live up to it.

So I just looked today on the bundle... Still no add all button and now the blurb about fixing that problem has been removed... so I guess we just aren't getting one?

Yup they are not capable of doing so. Sadly you have to use scripts and such :( Just silently canceled it. Way to treat your customers :(

Well, this is quite disappointing.

Extremely disappointed with the way this was handled. Very deceptive, as we were promised a solution, and then the said promise (the notice that was on the bundle page earlier) was simply removed. Will keep away from this platform in the future because of this broken promise. It took me a few hours to add everything to my library, and this should never have happened in the first place.  Very frustrated by this turn of event. This is not how you treat your user base.
