Bro, great submission! The music and story really work together - I gave high marks for aesthetic and creativity.
The art styles kind of clash, with characters being pixel and environment being smooth. As others noted, I didn't make it to back to day time and was defending my Wellheart during the first day. I like that idea, though, of having something separate to do during night/day.

As Mag said there's trouble win the night cycle (I waited for more than 4 minutes and it never went back to day) But the concept is there and that can be updated and fixed.
I can think of some things that could make it better right away: animations for the character, player guidance (arrows, easier to find paths or some sort of indicator of where things are), change the render order of some sprites (leaves/grass gets over of the character), place the village closer...)
I think from here you could expand and add to the gameplay (power ups? different attacks? minions? turrets? better enemies?) but overall it's a good jam entry. Congratulations!
Thank you! Yeah I kinda messed up and just did a random sprite order for all the things in the game so I couldnβt easily fix all those weird overlap things. Player animations and guidance definitely would be good. All good stuff! I appreciate the feedback! Iβm gonna fix that bug with day night cycle. Idk why that is still happening.
I like the concept, but I think the daynight cycle broke for me. Once it went night it never went day again and I got lost looking for the village.
Oh no! I set the night cycle to last 2 minutes, so daytime should come back after that I think. F for torch while it is night time. The villagers only come out during the day.
