Very nice like how it looked and how the controls felt, I enjoyed it.
Why was it asking for internet access? Sounds were pretty brash. I liked the pirate sprite and what you did with it, the animations were satisfying so some of the basics of combat were nice, could use some more clarity though
I don't why that happened. I think it was because the build was set to development. I used Bfxr and its sound presets to create the sound effect

The art and animation came from https://seartsy.itch.io/free-pirate by https://www.instagram.com/seartsy/ . I just recolored the pirate using graphics gale and added a normal map via laighter

It was originally supposed to be a platformer but i decided to make it a combat game
