Very cool game! I enjoyed the art style and really liked the atmosphere. Great work!

Very cool survival horroresque game,  I love the artstyle and direction. There is a lot of cool things to do with a horror game set under the ocean, with the isolation and the darkness of it all, and I think you managed to make a very nice atmosphere here - except for the sharks. For some wierd reason they look like the cutest little sharks I've ever seen especially when they are belly up. Other then this, and the rough nature of the autoaim, very good job!

Top quality content for such a Jam!! A good basic model for a bigger game! Keep it up :D

Wow. This is the most atmospheric game for a Jam, very good job. The game looks very good. The fight with sharks was good, and I am not sure, but when I hit the shark nearby, does the Player hit it with his hand on the nose? :D

The camera was a bit uncomfortable, and looking for the last shark was a little difficult, but it is not a big problem (especially for a Jam game, it is still very good).

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind words ^^

Yes, If you attack the shark when its about to bite, you punch it (Parry) ^^

I was actually thinking of making it an Insta Kill Move and flips the shark 90 degrees, but decided against it to keep the horror feel

Very nice and definitely one of the most refined game of the jam !
Also the cover is awesome and looks like an actual ps1 game cover

Althoug this is bit out of the Pixelart scope for me, the aqua theme is approached really well. And also, the atmosphere is so cool! Really great job done

Wow. You've absolutely nailed the atmosphere. It's quite impressive you managed to fit actual exploration rewards in such a tightly paced game. The animations remind me of Syphon Filter PS1 game.

Great job!

Very cool and definitely grabs the ps1 horror vibes, although a bit outside the scope of pixel art. Felt well realized for what you were going for and the audio design felt pretty oppressive. It was a lot of fun blasting those dumb sharks. Unfortunately I had the whole project crash trying to refill my oxygen tank.

Developer

Cheers for the  feedback mate ^^

I m curious on that crash! You wouldn't happen to remember a crash code? Would like to investigate it from my end to ensure it doesnt happen again ^^

This is really awesome. I had a great time punching those sharks in the face.

Man, I really wish the jam had a rating for presentation/art style because I absolutely loved what you went with. Very nostalgic of old school horror shooters like Resident Evil one. I wasn't a huge fan of the AD turning and semi-fixed camera but that makes a ton of sense since you were going for that style of nostalgic game. I also had issues with the game not always locking on to the sharks (especially the larger ones) but that did not prevent me from making it to the end of the game.

I really love the use of oxygen in this game though, had to be one of my favorite aspects. The concept of choosing between preserving your breathing capacity and getting to fire the gun is a great risk/reward and it fit the setting perfectly too. The only mechanic I wasn't 100% sure on was the flashlight as it was pretty easy to see without it. I wasn't sure if it made sharks more likely to attack so I ended up spending most of the game with it turned off. Overall, the game is fantastic and it was a really complete experience despite the short time frame of the jam. Excellent job!

I like that it feels like a Resident Evil or Dino Crises with Sharks. Very atmospheric. Just theme wise I think that the Playstation look, which it is gorgeous, doesn't really fit under the Pixel Art umbrella. A part from that it is a very impressive entry.

Yea, while I did stick with pixel style textures for the assets used, I m aware I'm probably at the far edge on what one may consider "Pixel Art" 😂Thanks for the kind words mate 😁

Very immersive, love it!

Really impressive work, incredible atmosphere and some excellent mechanics. I enjoyed the combat once I got to grips with dodging and countering, it felt very satisfying to face off against the sharks. I did find that the camera control in some places was fighting against me, and I eventually died because a shark attacked me from off-screen. Overall, an amazing piece of work, nice job!
