Seems like the daily progression and UI is a little broken, I wound up on Day 3 a couple of times and went back to it after Day 4, and I didn't really understand the benefit of upgrading my gear. I really enjoyed the typing mechanic to catch the fish, it felt very engaging and pretty challenging with the random assortment of letters. This is a nice base for a deeper concept, I'd like to see how the game could change introducing bigger fish and different mechanics. Nice entry!

Yes the day counter is indeed broken. We procrastinated and we kind of ran out of time... We weren't able to do all things that we wanted, like fixing the day counter and upgrade info. The fishing pole is supposed to increase the chances of getting rarer fish, and upgrading the boat will increase the maximum number of fish the player can catch in a day, as well as make the screen bigger so that the player can see more fish. This info should have definitely been displayed somewhere...

Nice use of the jam theme! The first time I booted it up I somehow ended up with a menu with fish on it stuck on my screen, but reloading the game fixed it. Great work!
Fun game! I think its possible to sell more fish than we have, which breaks the game a bit, but otherwise its super nice to try and figure out how to catch those fast fishes!
