Great writing. Great use of wavy text to punctuate the words. Fantastic work.

The fact that it was one button really damaged the game...

In my opinion, the game would've been made so much better if you interpreted the button as something like a shirt button, to free up the controls.

Nice art though!

Congrats on the submission!

Nice art! Touching story.

First, it met the requirements for the jam.  Kudos for your art. Spot on given the art restrictions.  I thought the game was well made.  I didn't get any sound fx or music. I'm not sure if that's due to webbrowser version or time.  However, I don't think the lack of music hurt it.  It had a very somber tone and the story was delivered, all be it over text, very well.  It's a bit... heavy for my taste.  But it was well written.  Overall, good marks.

Nice narrative mechanism.I like the relation between moving the character down/ scrolling the story/ scrolling the texts. The graphics are nice too.

The Up key is not disabled but it doesn’t allow to do much. I think it should be given a use or deactivated completely.

Thanks! I would have disabled the Up key, but to be honest, I have no idea how to do it easily in Bitsy. :P I disabled the left and right controls by adding an invisible wall on both sides...

im not much for text based games, tbh i skipped most dialogue. ^,..,^

i dont think as a gamer i could ever call this a game. :P

great pixel art.

Yeah, it's more of a (barely) interactive story. Originally I wanted to make it more exploration-based, but I really wanted to stick to the one-button requirement, and that meant I had to restrict it more. I think it would have been text-heavy in any case, though!

if you ever do make it more interactable, i would love to play it. ^,..,^
