I have a few criticisms for you, maybe you can take them into account and make something even better next time!

  • Walking speed is in desperate need of an increase. It was pretty tedious to hold a direction for upwards of thirty seconds just waiting to hit the transition.
  • It would be nice to be able to aim the rifle in more directions that just where you are facing, because I found aiming to be a little awkward.
  • Checkpoints!! I died at one of the first enemies and was sent all the way back to the start, which was a little annoying.

Otherwise, I thought this was pretty cool! Got big Yume Nikki / Omori Black Space vibes, which I appreciated.

Thanks for creating!

Lovely! Thank you for playing, and all of your criticisms, they will indeed go into consideration when designing my future projects.

Also for the game recs! I have heard of both YN and Omori, but not actually played either ( πŸ₯ΆπŸŽ‰).

Hope you have a marvelous day! πŸ“

I like it, the walk rate is a little slow for my taste, and the gameplay is a little light, but I must say what is there in story and world is extremely interesting, has me wondering what exactly is going on here. Great job on story and atmosphere. (and I really like the little idle animations)

Well, this was a really cool game! It was already talked before but web version is ehat gives u ratings at first I also had a downloadable and now I made a web version which had a few bugs but it still got me a ton of reviews, I was really amazed. And I can dee how passionate about this u are so it sadens me seeing no reviews. Maybe try commenting and rating a few other ganes.

Good luck!

Thank you so much for your comments, amd thoughts πŸͺ·

I will make sure to make future jamprojects with web versions, it was unfortunetaly something the engine i used (PixelgameMaker MV) did not support.

But, these  comments have really made me encouraged to do more! So I will try not to dwell to much haha 😊

Will also be playing through submissions, hopefully tomorrow, and leaving some comments. It will be swell!

A nice game, the universe is well thought out and I like it! Just the places are a bit empty and the character is too slow

Thank you for playing! I do agree with of your points. I was considering making a run state for Jack, because he moved so slowly it felt a bit cruel, but then felt like it was a part of the 1bit restricted experience. Oor, he is ill!

There will be some changes to the expanded 2day universe game adressing these points.

This is a fantastic game! An incredibly unique, eerie and engaging world to explore. You clearly put a lot of attention to detail into the presentation and all of the art, characters and story. Looking forward to your future games!

One piece of feedback, something that we've observed in game jams and looking through previous results is that games that aren't playable in browser rarely get the attention/ratings they deserve because it is a (incredibly :/) small barrier to entry and isn't desirable for average users when other games are easier to access. We consider browser support a necessary/essential feature for our games.

So many thanks, I blush! It was almost ten twelve (more) hours per day put into making this for this excellent jam, so -  I will take this advice into my future jam games/just games!

I did think the engine was able to build into html5, but about two days into developing noticed there was no build option for this. Next time, I will make something that will be, oh, so web browser friendly,

Will also play Starcatcher tomorrow!
