  • This game looks fantastic. The randomization is also really cool as is the premise. Ultimately, though, it's just one puzzle and not a very interesting one because you just find the tablets and then the game basically tells you the solution.
  • I like how the theme was interpreted and how it drove the puzzles. There's only one puzzle though, which is a pity. Nice visuals, relaxing atmosphere, overall a good entry.
  • The art in this is absolutely stunning. The puzzle seemed simple but really delivered with a twist!

I loved this, nice ambience, nice puzzle. How is that the art was made by AI? I read this in the comments, I'm really curious about it

Thank you. :) I used the Text-to-Image AI "Stable Diffusion" (one Site I used was https://thumbsnap.com/gen), describing different Kinds of Scenes and Art-Styles by writing descriptive Sentences, and then the AI generated many, many Images (which took a While), from which I picked a Handful and then edited them in GIMP and Krita to match up and be more suitable as Adventure Game-Scenes (like flattening the Grounds manually on most Images, adding new Elements, changing Colors, et cetera). I'll make a more detailed Dev-Log about it as soon as the Jam is over and the Dev-Log Functionality re-appears for me. Thank you for your Interest. :)

Here is my new, more detailed Dev-Log about the AI-related Art-Process, if you are interested. :)

AI-Generated Art – Original vs. Edited - The Nymph’s Laugh by Christopher A. Summer (itch.io)

(I'm not sure if I could have published this Dev-Log earlier, maybe the itch-io Jam-Rules and Interface just confused me.)

Very interesting to see AI art used in a game. It looks absolutely stunning, and I also liked the tale and the puzzle. It felt like stepping into folklore.

Lovely fable. Doesn't look AI-generated to my untrained eye.

Developer

Thank you! I guess I did a good Job with my Prompts and my manual Editing then. :)

Short and snappy. Good job on the art, puzzle, music and writing.

This was a very lovely game. Its visuals are gorgeous and its story is reminiscent of an old fable. It ends on a high note as well - good work!

Quite thought provoking, it is hard to decrypt Human emotions most of the time, not to mention Nymph!

Developer(+1)

True! The Themes came from a fairly personal Place for me. Thank you. :)

I think this fits the theme very well! I enjoyed the puzzle a lot.  The art and music were good too. Well done!

Wow, for me this has a good chance of winning. Reminiscent of the adventure games of the 90s, beautiful backgrounds and characters, fitting music, a clear goal to achieve. Not much puzzling to it, but a short fairy tale worth the experience. Good job!
