Weird and fun. For me, it's the characters acting like all this is perfectly normal that's making it so funny. Great game that I can wholly recommend. (And people praise the graphics, which are obviously great, but man, what a great sound/music design to complement them!)

Yes, I already had an earlier save plus the autosave, so it was the third save that froze it. After two times with that, I just overwrote the first save instead. That worked fine. The whole thing is really strange. Didn't try the function keys for saving, so I can't tell if that makes any difference.
Hey, I played your game and it was very good! I especially liked the animations and the writing style.
Please also add the game to the AGS database at https://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/games/add/
No upload needed, just link to this page.
Hmmm...Windowed mode should be available through alt+enter, but that doesn't seem to work. The game is distributed without a setup file, which is annoying.
Anyway, to proceed from the title screen with all the characters, use the hand on the wall a little below the L in "GIRLS'". There is no sound, but at least some interaction. The gameplay seems to consist of choosing the correct doors, or else a killer will get you. Not much logic, just luck and memory the next time.
I understand that this is a work in progress, and not really ready for release at this point. I tried to play, and watched the video after ending in unwinnable states a couple of times.
I'll try to come with some constructive advice. That may be silly, because I don't know how SCUNK works, but at least in AGS, some of your issues are easily fixed. In AGS too, a character may be present in a room where the player is not, but dialogue is not limited to that room. There is a character.sayat - command that can be used even if the fly is not in the room. If that is not the case here, then surely there must be a display command or something that can show the sound effects?
Do not hide jokes. I didn't try the same MI-line several times on the spider because it was the same line. If you want the player to keep talking, swap the dialogue option with a new one.

There are some bugs that made me have to start over. If you pick up more than four items, they are displayed on top of each other in the fourth inventory slot, and only the last one is usable.
Despite that and some lack of signposting, I liked the game. The story was fun, the puzzles well thought out, and it fits the theme of the jam somewhat. (I think our rat suspects he's not the most stupid one...)
I hope you do a polish after the jam to remove bugs and make it more clear what's happening. The nine verb GUI is a bit superfluos in this game, and in a jam setting, if you are not using all the verbs, you just make a lot of work for yourself because the players will expect a reaction from the game for every one of them.

There were nothing wrong with the puzzles, it's simply that an old fart like myself plays the games of this adventure jam expecting adventure games. So don't beat yourself up over that. For its genre, the puzzles worked just fine. It's more a game my kids would enjoy, while my slower reflexes makes me struggle a bit.
This was a lot of fun! Is Susan really the smartest one, though? I encountered a few bugs and had to start over when it seemed like there was nothing left to do. A couple that have not been mentioned (I think) are that it's possible to enter a state where Susan cannot take notes, right at the start of the game. The journalists also seem to be in the coffee corner and at the bar simultanously, and the conversation meant to happen in the bar, can be had while in the wrong building.
Anyhow, great use of humour and character building. Iceland doesn't have trees, though. :-D

I have to agree that this is not an adventure game, but rather a kind of action or puzzle game. I highly recommend that the talking noises either are removed or are varied. That said, I completed the game and found the puzzles okay, although I'm not generally a fan of this type of game. When dying repeatedly, it gives me the same sort of frustration that a platform game does when I cannot make a jump. That's not to say there is anything wrong with the type of game, just that I prefer slower types of gameplay myself.
