Ahh. Nice way to incorporate the time pressure into the game mechanic. I'm having a hard time finding my target but I think the trackpad is the issue more than the game :D Graphically very pleasing too! Could definitely be improved with some tense music and a wind sfx that intensifies when the wind is high.
I only wish it had music. If I was doing it, I would have something tense and driving, that got more muffled, slightly quieter/ distorted when you hold down the shift key. Create a track, and then run it through some distortion (specifically a low pass filter and maybe some extra reverb) and add in a heartbeat sound so now you have two tracks to fade between when shift is pressed.
on a related note, I just recently listened to the Dunkirk soundtrack.
Let me know if you want to collaborate, or if you are happy with the game as-is
This is one of the best games I have played so far! Really challenging with the bullet trajectory physics, but the task of finding the target within a limited amount of time is really fun.
There is so much here! I really appreciate how many different mechanics you successfully wove into 20 seconds of gameplay! Procedural objectives, wind, bullet drop, breath-controlled scope swaying, etc. The result is a truly immersive simulation! I would absolutely play a longer version of this game.
The colors all complemented each other, and the art was fantastic - clear and cute without distracting from gameplay.
I noticed that the crosshair could not reach the edges of the screen. Is this intentional? What happens if your target wanders off-screen? Do they appear elsewhere? Or have you blown your window of opportunity?
Glad you liked. The crosshairs are bound to the map area. If the target walks offscreen, it's a fail. This is what limits the gameplay to 20 seconds since the random chosen path will only be for that long. You only have one chance.

To clarify, this is sort of what I was thinking: https://on.soundcloud.com/4prsQ
(sometimes it is easiest for me to prevent fixating thinking about a thing to just do said thing.)
It feels really good once you learn the trajectory and start actually landing shots, one of my favorite games I've played so far

Sounds like smart design!
I like the Hitman/Sniper Elite vibe, but man are those shots hard to make.
Very challenging, it takes you 5-sec to read target's description and 14-sec to find them :D
one of the best games at the moment
Nice gameplay and sounds! I found i actualy to be pretty hard. Sure did kept my attention for a while.
