IT'S BACK AGAIN! PyraMazze continues to make great strides. I love the control scheme and the way your round shadow is programmed! Mostly. I'd actually like to pick your brain about it in DMs, if you don't mind. Either way this submission slaps, as always!

Thanks! Yeah I can walk you through it =D

This game is mighty impressive!

While it has this cool early 32-bits look, it also feels quite fresh and well crafted.

(BTW, be careful that some of hills are still "walkable", allowing the played to get out of bounds)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing!

Yeah, instead of invisible bounds, we work on the honor system here =D

Jokes aside, thank you for the feedback. I have a ton of work to do on this title. My philosophy is, work on the “happy path” first and then clean up later.

The new character model looks a ton better!

Thanks! Here are some pictures of his progression. September 2020 - April 2021

I still have work to do on ’em…

A little bit of polish on the collisions and movement and this would be amazing!

Thanks for playing and being a great twitch-steam-co-host! That stream was so fun. I am glad you and Ani enjoyed the game =D I agree, I may want to switch to using a Unity3d rigidbody. Currently, we are using Unity’s built in Character Controller. And it is great, but our implementation of it has issues… like how you launch up the stairs if you jump and how you may get stuck on almost any surface that isn’t ground…

So yeah, plenty of room for improvement =D

Cute and fun to play! ^^ That black orb reminded me of that big hand from the Zelda games. I liked the music too!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for playing! Floormasters from Zelda were a huge inspiration for sure ;) Check out more of Julio’s music here: https://nylonplanet.bandcamp.com/

This games art style is the cutest thing I've ever seen, until the black orb comes out of nowhere and screams at you XD

Developer(+1)

Glad you enjoyed it =D

From the professor’s notes: The black orb is called Guardian. Guardian is a Dimensional like Warp and Mini. Guardian is not aggressive in nature. In fact, you can chat with Guardian. If you can reach it in it’s nest, Guardian is quite agreeable. When one of it’s puzzles is activated, it simply does it’s job.

They added a Warp to this area so you don’t get stuck in the Guardians nest. As you can see from the bones, some did not make it out of the Fireball puzzle.
