This was whack my friend! I love it :)

The level was really well done and fun to explore. Really nice job on the N64 aesthetic. I think an indication of how many people you still need to collect would be good. I know it says 8 at the beginning but I forgot 1/2 way through and made my way back to stone head with only 7.

Great job!

Thanks a lot! You are right about the keeping track of the villagers left aspect. At some point there was a count on display but I threw it away thinking that the villagers following the player would be enough to count them along the way, maybe I was wrong ahah.

You really nailed the N64 aesthetic perfectly! I love the high-contrast, blurry look of the textures, especially the skybox. The floating parade of people following you throughout the game is such a surreal image and I really like the pulsating veins on the face-HUD. To adapt a 2D game into a 3D game with such a strong aesthetic is an incredible feat.

I thought the ghost models were cute. The game was a neat experience in a surreal environment. After I beat the game, I walked around in it a little longer. I only had a couple bugs where it seemed like the humans floating behind me got stuck in some walls, but I'm not 100% sure they were stuck. The game made me think of Hexen/Doom/40 Winks. It could be expanded further, maybe by allowing character upgrades in jumping, speed.

I love this! I felt like you really nailed what made some 32-bit games scary with those textures and ambiance. The big change between the pre-jam version and this one is also REALLY impressive.

This was a delight!

The game plays really well, with a surprising variety of visually distinct spaces to explore in the world which really helped with navigation. The collectathon objectives are really in keeping with the 90s feel.

I'm very impressed with the adaptation from the pre-jam version - it's a thoroughly inventive reimagination of the original concept. I prefer the audio from the original (it's great - really unsettling!), but otherwise this improves on every aspect.

The 90s aesthetic is all there, with a pitch perfect N64 aesthetic, and some particularly great character models (my favourite was the duck ghost) and some excellent world design.

Had a great time with this :)

Loved it ! The hud/ui is so good and I loved the animal crossing haunted aesthetic.

That SKIN HUD, oh my god it's grotesque but amazing. This nailed the feel of N64 graphics, the environment and character models are so charming. Hellscape Animal Crossing is an amazing idea. My only nitpicking gripe is that the captured humans follow you is a weird manner and sometimes phase out of the map, sometimes I saw captured humans stuck halfway in the floor thinking they were a human I haven't gotten to yet. This is so weird and lovely.

Hey thanks for the input ! Glad you liked the visuals. You are totally right, I had some collision detection system for the following NPCs but it wasn't good enough to be released and I got  time constrained haha. I 'll work on this in the future :)
