- This game was truly refreshing! The story was well paced, intriguing, and compelling. The game play was great, I wanted it to go further!!! I also appreciate your creativity, however I would supplied the player with more easily accessible information. Overall I think you did a great job and hit the brief excellently. :D
- Hey there :). Cool and original game. I'm a huge fan of city build game, so i was really glad to play your game :). It's a bit too short, even for the game jam you could have put the prosperity goal to 5 or 7, without risk to exceed the 30min limit. A permanent window to display the resource like wood, ore, money, ect would be better, and it's pretty easy to do if you have some JS knowledge. Even if you don't, i'm sure there is a plugin out there that do that. Also, during my first gameplay, i encountered i bug that prevent me to build house, it said i didn't had enough ore, so i have to start over. Anyway, great job, it was really fun to play your game, thank for your submission ! :) See ya, Drag

Well, pretty straight forward game. Now, I didn't noticed any major problems here. My only regret is that the game is so SO short, 3 Prosperity points are WAY too low of an objective. You could have let the player decide at the beginning.
Outside of that, there is one thing I'd like to address. Something weird I couldn't replicate for now.
I tried to build something (don't remember if it's a farm or a house), but the game told me I lacked ores, despite the fact I had enough. I had to get some more ore so finally the game let me to build what I wanted.
I started a new game to try out, but I didn't encountered that problem again at the moment.
Also, it's sad to say, but there is multiple save spots, but everything saves on the first one without letting a choice to the player. If I could have saved where I wanted, I could probably have sent you a save file of that bugged game, but because I started a new game to investigate it, it is no longer possible.
Minor detail, but the overworld sprite of the brother doesn't exactly fit his face sprite. So out of curiosity, I am asking: why making this choice?
Anyway, I wish you good luck with the game jam and your projects overall! Had some fun playing it - but mostly got disappointed by how short it was...
Apologies for the short playtime. I didn't know how long players would take to play it and didn't want it to exceed the 30 minute time limit.
Thanks for letting me know about the bug when building one of your buildings. I'll take a look, see if I can find out what caused that when I'm able to update the game again.
No harm! Good continuation! ^^

Hey there! Not sure if you saw, but we did high level feedback of your Jam entry on our YouTube channel:
Thanks. Good tips! Will definitely take it into account when expanding it beyond the jam.
Pretty solid premise! I'd love to see what comes of this in the future. This is a creative use of eventing that I had not even thought of.
Thanks for that! The positive feedback really helps me decide if this is worth a full game.
It is. You must make this a full game, it'll be a great addition to the indie scene.

Really love the simulator/town-building mechanics. Wished I could play more of it! Well done!
Thanks!
Hi! I love where this was going but it is way too short! So my only complaint is that I was not able to play more, but it shows a lot of promise. You should also add a little ending where you become king or at least you keep in competition with your brother.
Kudos sir!
Thanks. I think after the jam I might expand it into a bigger game since people are taking a liking to it.
I liked it. It was a fun play through although I was a bit stumped at first till I noticed how some of the items worked. After that it only took a few minutes. Still I gave it good marks. Your understanding of the engine is much higher then mine!
Nice work!
Thanks! Sucks you got stumped at first. I tried to make it as user friendly as possible but I'm glad you were able to figure it out in the end.
I saw your comment on the driftwood stream that you want to play the full game. After the jam ends and judging is finished I'll raise the Prosperity limit so you can dig deeper into building and worker upgrades and all the other things like Investing.
That would be cool it's a fun little ditty

Sweet, I'll look it up. Really enjoying the community!
I like this concept. I was thinking of doing a builder like this, but your system is much more organized with a lot of neat elements.
Thanks. I was inspired a bit by town builders and Clicker games. Something about them is addicting. Building up your towns, hiring workers to get you resources, upgrading those workers to get more resources to unlock more options. It was a lot of fun for me to make and play.
My favorite mechanic would have to the the Invest mechanic.
