As an Ultima fan, I really love this game. The mix of 3d and pixel art is really well done. The controls take some getting used to. I only wish the UI reminded me what the keys were (J,V,P,L,etc.).

Lots of potential, very cool.

Man, the terrain generation is flawless. The sole detail of putting the debug generator is worth everything. As I'm looking to step up the level on my random maps this is a great north. Everything else is impressive too, great visuals and on the surface seems to have deep systems. If I have to be crit. of something, the font is hard to read and UI isn't very friendly, movement could be smoother too.

Overall this is my pick for the jam, great job.

I never got to play the game, shame as the screen shots look interesting.

It kept doing the map building thing with the debug counter incrementing, I thought that was a loading screen at first but then when it finished it just started again. I tried clicking on run (though the pointer was really laggy and kept drifting right so this took a few tries) and nothing happened.

oh no, it seems you kept getting sent to the "procedural generators" screen, which is just a little demo reel of how the levels are created.  You can hit the space bar to exit that screen.  on the main screen are two options to start a new game.  I think what might be happening is the mouse drift is placing the cursor over the "generators" button and then its loading that screen instead of the game.

You can try putting the cursor over the "New Game" button before hitting the space bar or mouse clicking.

I've had reports of the drifting mouse issue from Firefox users and I was able to replicate it but I'm still trying to figure out why its happening

Very strong entry. I love the movement (Especially using the WASDQE like a dungeon crawler) and the dithered lighting/aesthetics of it all, it looks amazing. I didn't get very far on my first few runs, but I'm going to try a few more times as I'd like to see what else it has to offer (I really wish I'd found the second rune I needed for healing!). I also appreciate the variety of tiles, the enemies being half submerged in the water was a nice touch.

Massive props on the detailed itch page as well, lots of good lore and also a very robust explanation of the different systems which means I knew what was what going in, especially the magic.

Really my only criticism is the UI. The status info overlaps the spell screen a bit and I find the font a bit hard to read with my boomer eyes.
