I'll never look at my furniture the same way again. Like a fever dream you might have after a weekend binging Resident Evil and getting lost in IKEA.

I made it to level 7 but I think I'm too traumatised to go back inside...

a very interesting concept, executed really well!

i felt like the enemies were a bit too strong, which might be a personal thing, but when multiple enemies (3 or 4) would appear together at once, it was basically an instant death for me. Again, that might have been because of my skill level, but it still felt a bit unfair-

regardless of the difficulty issues, still a really cool game!

Great work! Very funny concept, and consistent tone across the board. I think movement might benefit from being a bit quicker, but that's really down to personal preference.

Developer

Thank you :)

Well done on the game! I played it but died on the 2nd floor to too many enemies and not enough equipment. I think the game may be slightly too hard. The atomosphere was incredible though! I think you did an awesome job with the eerie music and enviornment, was on edge while playing.

Overall, only thing I would improve is tuning the difficulty and making it easier for players/giving more reward.

Thanks!

Thank you for playing :D Really happy you liked the atmosphere, I think this is my first 7drl where I tried adding in sound & music. Very fair point on difficulty! Post-jam & after voting closes, maybe I'll add a difficulty slider.

It was interesting as I went through the first level. Then I met sofa of eternity immediately on level 2 and died pretty much instantly, which sucked.

Developer

Thank you for playing! The Sofa of Eternity is a juggernaut.

To be honest, I spent most of February bingeing the RE2 remake, and had Mr X in my head when designing the sofa's behaviour 😅 Like with him, the best play is usually to run, unless you are cornered.

Ah, it would have been good if I'd gotten some sort of warning about that. There was no sign that combat with the sofa was any different to the other enemy (which was pretty easy to kill, which implied that combat generally wasn't very dangerous), except when it was too late.

Hmm, good point re: signs. Will keep that in mind for the future or post-jam updates :)

In the mean time, I took this as an excuse to add a bestiary to the game page.
