Played it with xansd. Framerate was a bit jarring, but it was very suspenseful with a fun and unique payoff. Like warspawn said, it conveyed the story pretty effectively
This was a fun little fake scare. I liked the idea and the map layout. The framerate was really slow though (20FPS) and made it hard to get around. The stream at the end was really fun.
I liked it! It was scary only because of my own fear of the dark. I need to take the advice of the subliminal messages in the title and "Fear NOT the dark"
The stream was a great touch and also basically a story element! Hard to do storyline in such a short time, but you did!
Liked it. Anything you want to tell us about your basement???
Overall the ambience was really good. The storm outside worked well. I was half expecting to see something in the trees every time the lightning flashed. I wasn't a huge fan of the drag to open for doors. It always felt like it was the opposite direction to what I expected. Not a huge deal though. The stream was also a nice touch :P
Everyone knows you don’t go into the cellar in a horror game. Why make me go into the cellar. Don’t put a rat down there… you are just trying to scare me.
Well it worked!
It was a bit dark though. That’s the problem with Horror games, darkness builds the tension. But it also makes it really hard to progress, especially when the task is to find a tiny key that can’t be easily seen. It reminded me of the ‘90’s point and click adventures where one got stuck and ended up moving the cursor over the whole screen to find the hidden item you had missed the visual clue for. Only here it was a 3d environment and I couldn’t see enough to see any clues.
I loved the lightning flashes. Perhaps you could use those, tied to triggers, to illuminate a room with the key. Give us a fighting chance.
Eventually I found the basement key, but then I immedietely found another locked door and the hunt in the dark started again.
Since I was too scared I gave up.
Great progress for a 2 week game though. Well done.

The tension was there, but needed at least once jump scare... unless I missed it.
Was really afraid that thing in the basement was going to move, so I kept going back to make sure it was still there.
Very well done.
My FPS was ok, but then again, I'm running a rather monster of a machine.
