Really like the transition starts when you hover over the text, its a nice cue. Its a fun idea, nicely done!

Usually I'm not into this sort of stuff, but damn, that was friggin hilarious. Especially when I drank a "cocktail" and almost lost the green flag altogether... and that detune effect... I've had a really good laugh.

Great job on the writing, the audio and the visuals as well!

Developer

Hehe. Never accept drink from a stranger.

It was really interesting and fun! Adaptive music is implemented wonderfully

Great implementation of adaptive music, and great music overall :)

P.S. I wish you could speed up the text.

Quite impressed that you managed to make this idea into a pretty solid game in such short time! Love the writing (both music and text) and just general feel!

The game crashed for me tho so I never reached the ending T.T

Developer

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it! We had a lot of fun writing this! =p

I'm sad to hear about the crash though, could you tell us when it happened?

It's a very nice game ^^

It happened quite fast - the game freezed and I got a very long error message on my browser (chrome). I accidentally clicked on it tho when trying to get back to the game so it went away. But it shouldn't be too dangerous - I just have a talent for breaking games :)))))))))))))))))

Fun text idea, and I liked the banners. The adaptive music was well done, but I would have enjoyed having it change a lot more for a game of that length. Perhaps you can expand it?

Developer(+2)

Thanks for taking the time to play the game :)

I agree that the music would need to change more (for instance, when going to another act), because the main theme gets quickly repetitive.

However it is difficult to achieve this, because the music needs to react to 4 different variables, which made the number of combinations grow quicky (9 rythm/chord tracks, 6 lead tracks for a total of  45 combinations that need to blend together). Hence it takes a long time to come up with something where you can have multiple types of variation, that need to go together in some way. Not being a great composer does not help also, haha!

But it would be a cool exercice to find new themes and expand the game's music!

I liked how the music changed as I hovered over the choices, and that the changes were carried over into the following sections. It's an interesting implementation!

I'm glad you liked it, thanks for playing!

The goal of the music changing when hovering is to give the player cues about what is going to happen next, glad to see you noticed this (unexplained) feature!
