An RPG with turn-based combat? Count me in!
Your artwork looks so good. I love the artistic style. Especially the portraits. The design of the slimes gave me some serious Undertale vibes. And the music is just fun. Everything fits together really well.
I chose normal mode and since I slayed everything in my path, the final battle wasn't too bad. I've definitely played RPGs that were much more grindy. And that had less options to save the game. Your story was short and crisp. I'll definitely check out your other games, since this looks like an interesting universe to revisit.
Fun game! :)
Oh! *_* Thanks for your feedback, I really appreciate it! :D
The fact that you included easy mode made my day, thanks!! I loved the music first, but also the art. It all matched so nice!! Congratulations on getting this completed in such a short term, it feels and looks really professional
Oh! Thanks for your feedback <3
I really love the art style and the characters are very well written, I wish there was an anime to watch as well. I like JRPG and this sent me back to the past. I didn't manage to finish for time constrain but I will give it a go as soon as I have more time on my hands. Very well done.
Oh! An anime of this game, hummmm... Not a bad idea lol xD I really appreciate your feedback *_* Thanks for playing! ❤
The art style and art in general was great, made for a really atmospheric game! Loved how nicely the characters matched their portraits, in 1-bit art too! I was probably silly to chose normal, as I basically skipped all the fighting and was super under-prepared when fighting the final boss the 2nd time and got 1 hit killed ha ha. But really nice all round!
Hehe, yeah, in normal mode you need to grind a little bit, but not much. Thanks for your feedback and thanks for playing ❤
No worries, it's my own fault, you did provide the option! Mainly because I'm trying to play as many jam games as I can with limited time too :P I see others posted vids so I still get to see how it ends :D
This was one of the jam games I've been anxiously waiting to play when I saw screenshots of the character art and game play layout, and let me tell you was it worth the wait! This game filled all my indie RPG maker needs down to the turn-based combat, scenery, art style, and characterization. It's been a long time since I've seen a male and female duo in a action/adventure RPG in the indie scene and it was fun to experience Dorian and Anna.
I was not expecting normal mode to be as hard as it was, and I was more surprised to find out I did have to grind a bit and buy armor before facing the werewolf. It was easy to get swarmed by those slime monsters in some parts of the map making certain areas more tedious.
Overall the pacing, gameplay, and story were good!
The only minor complaint I had was wanting to see more of Anna and felt Dorian was a bit more developed than she was in the game/story, but that's without considering the time restraints of the jam itself.
I really enjoyed this game, and I definitely plan to check out your other work in wait of seeing these two stories continue :3
Thanks for your feedback! I'm really happy that you enjoyed the game 😄 Yeah, due to the time constraints, I couldn't delve deeper into Anna's background story, but at least the game is finished xD If I have the time and resources, I will definitely create a game with a longer story for them 😊 Anyway, thanks for playing! ❤
For all those who have already downloaded the game, I noticed some errors in the game's database variables, so I have fixed them. Additionally, I have made a few more minor proofreading adjustments.
I really like the character designs.
Thanks :D
