Unfortunately, I couldn't play it as the game seems to be hardcoded to 1920x1080, and I have no monitors that can reach that. A lot of the game is therefore off-screen. Even tried running it in windowed mode, but that just cut off more.
Great music and cool concept, It wasn't really that hard I don't think and there wasn't enough visual feedback. Obviously to be expected in a short time. I think its a great prototype
Hello, thanks for your feedback!
Nice submission, congratulations. I didn't see the credits about art and music, I did like them a lot! They work perfectly with the game style.
The mechanics were a bit confusing at the beginning and the adventurers keep re-spawning I think (or don't die maybe?). I could end the game, so the loop is working.
I mean, as a prototype it works fine, but with a small polishing in the mechanic you can have an awesome thing going on pretty soon. Congratulations!!
Hello, thank you for your feedback! I have added credits for the art and music assets in the page. I have sourced them from asset store and online for the gamejam.
The adventurers shouldn’t re-appear after dieing in a quest. Might have been a bug or poor UI/UX on my part to reflect the quests results. I could improve on that.
I would like to see it expanded a bit. The game could use a little more interaction, a few more choices. At the moment, the eleven drafts I played in a row seemed a bit too long and samey. The text at the intro screen mixed up plural and singular somewhere (something like "all quests is").
It's an interesting concept. The clean and simple look fits this kind of game very well. I really like text based adventures/simulations like this. Hopefully you'll revisit this idea in the future or add more content to it. I'm definitely interested in seeing more of this. :)
Thanks for the feedback! I agree that more interactions and choices will make the game more engaging. I do hope to have the time to return to this idea and further explore it as I feel it will be interesting to explore a different point of view in “Adventuring”.
I think there are missing files with the exe, or do I have to install something?
Apologies. It seems I didn’t upload everything. I have uploaded the missing files. It should work now!
