Great job on your second game submission to itch.io, it's a great feat to have! The game had a fun concept but I thought it was a bit difficult with the one life mechanic. I wasn't sure what the theme implementation was, but maybe you were going for the "last life"? The aesthetics could use some work, especially the particle system that was a child of the game object (there's a setting you can do where the particles that are spawned don't follow the transforms position, it would make it look more natural :) I think adding some music and sounds would go a long way for your game! The (what felt like) physics based movement was neat because it didn't let me instantly turn around which added some strategy to the game. I didn't see any story mechanics implemented. Great job overall, with a bit more polish, This could be a neat space shooter/dodge bullets meteors infinite runner!

Fun: ๐ŸŽ‰ The gameplay was engaging, but I had an issue where the player's gun was not facing the mouse. Also, the enemies could walk through walls, and the three monsters that escaped the pods gathered in the center of the room, got into a group huddle and didn't attack me. Once I ran out of bullets, I couldn't pick up any of the ones laying around the map.

Fun: ๐ŸŽ‰ The game was engaging, but it required me to go back to your submission page to read the instructions. Including a little tutorial within the game would be helpful. The turn-based mechanics were clever, but the bullets sometimes weren't on the squares they should be when shot diagonally. It was a bit difficult to predict where the bullet was on the bigger maps since there was no grid besides the one the player put out. Despite this, I was able to figure it out and continue to parry, so not really an issue!

Visual: ๐ŸŽจ The visuals were great for a pixel game. Loved the perspective implementation, it worked well.

Overall: โœจ Great job on completing and submitting this game. It's very basic and simple, but it's a good start, and I was able to play your game from start to finish.

Fun: ๐ŸŽ‰ The difficulty was easy because the enemies kept spawning from the center. I just stood in the center and held my space bar, and all the enemies were dying as soon as they spawned. Adding more challenge could improve the experience (like randomizing their spawn points)

Visual: ๐ŸŽจ The art was very basic. Using some free or paid assets could make your game stand out more, especially if you lack in the art department (I know I do!). Adding animations would also help spice up the game.

Audio: ๐ŸŽถ Some music and sounds would go a long way in enhancing your game.

Fun: ๐ŸŽ‰ I had fun testing this submission. The animation of projectiles being sucked into the black hole and how my bullets would curve around it was a neat touch. However, I couldn't figure out how to stop the RAM from overfilling constantly, it was filling even when I wasn't shooting projectiles.

Visual: ๐ŸŽจ The drawn visuals were a bit lacking but totally fine for a jam of this length. They didn't take away from my experience. Loved the font and how the UI was immersive.

Fun: ๐ŸŽ‰ The powerups with ups and downs were a great use of the theme, and my team had a similar approach. The gameplay was engaging, with a well-balanced difficulty curve. However, the hitboxes felt a bit unforgiving.

Visual: ๐ŸŽจ The lighting was great, but the shadows were a bit odd. The enemies could use some death animations and death sounds. The mysterious background dripping noise was perfect for the setting.

Audio: ๐ŸŽถ The boss music was a bit off for the setting, and it would be better if the sound died down slowly instead of cutting off abruptly. Overall, the audio was fitting, but adding more sound effects for enemies would enhance the experience.

Other feedback: The three-shot powerup was hard to use during boss fights because I couldn't get close enough to the boss to hit with more than one projectile. Great job on making deaths not permanently restart the game, allowing players to experience more of the content. When the player dies, enemies should stop attacking and dragging the dead player. I encountered a bug where enemies would push my dead body into the wall, leading to all enemies (like 50+ that I gathered) being stuck there after I respawned.
