Fun time. That fall rate hits terminal velocity faster than a penny tossed out of a jet, but that may have just been my crumbling sense and hard drive at play.
The Kamen Raider theme is always good, although I'm not entirely sure what slimes have to do with it. Too many enemy types to turn back now, though. Yeah, a little polish, little attention paid to things like spawn queues during the ambush sections, and it's nothing but net, good work.
Looks pretty cool, plays alright too. There's no need for the NES "enemies spawn when outside of the screen" thing. Music also dies on dying and respawning. Needs d-pad input too. I also seem to have an infinite special bar too after a while?
What controller were you using to not have dpad work for you? I'm also curious about the infinite special meter thing, were you able to use R1 abilities freely?
I'm using an original PS3 controller with an SCP program to make it behave like an XBOX one. If it's too hard a hardware/engine issue to fix, don't worry about it.
And yes, I was using skills that use meter freely without it going down. This might've happened after I died and respawned too.
Combat and the gameplay is great. I really like the music you have with the graphics. I will say that the sewer boss can be cheesed too easily. I like the shifting between protags, but I stuck with the main one and only using the smaller one for the surprise boss. Make some more levels and you will have a full on game here.
I was standing right next to him with the main protag (the starting one) and I was able to kill the enemies before they hit the ground. I did take a bunch of damage, but that was only closer to the end of the fight.

great stuff, the only minor complaint i have is that the environments / slimes look a bit bland

I'm glad you liked the combat. Can you explain how you cheesed the sewer boss? Was it just standing under them?
