Game has overwhelming aura I'm unable to withstand for long, keep going.

I think this has potential. I played with keyboard because I don't have a gamepad for my PC.

A few points:

- I actually kind of liked the music.... at first, for the first couple of loops. But its loops soo often and there is only the one song it starts to get on your nerves fast.

- Maybe I was just just playing the ez mode level but with all the items around I never felt at risk. There weren't really any stakes.

- I can definitely see why you suggest a controller. with a Keyboard and mouse it is very un-intuitive, but I can imagine it would work much better with a controller.

Despite these issue I actually did have fun with it and think the basic gameplay idea is solid. If you clean up these things and keep working on it (and I get a controller), then this could be a very fun game.

I like the concept, the physics are a bit janky in parts and its a bit rough around the edges. I hope this video is helpful to you, great job and cheers

The graphics loading took a while, had me confused there for a minute. It's possible to infinitely climb most walls with the tongue, is that intentional? The jumpthrough platforms are a bit janky when they snap you upwards. I also find myself just wandering around randomly, rather than... doing something? I dunno what my goal is or where to go. I only used the eggs to open 2 gates and never shot enemies with them. I also found weird jpgs of fruit that I could stand on on top of the (first) level, I don't know if they are supposed to be moving platforms or something else. Overall it's quite chaotic. While I do like the style, I think it's too inconsistent, the floors in particular are streched all over the place.

(Played for about an hour, died to the first level boss a couple times. walked around a few of the other levels)

The good:

  • I appreciate the chaos, chaos is good
  • pomao a cute, they way eggs trail behind me was fun
  • the parts where the sky changed I actually thought were really neat and sometimes unnerving
  • So many levels! I thought there was just the one until I scrolled down on the game page.

The less good:

  • The game felt kinda odd when I first started (partially cause I was using keyboard). I think if you could find a way use the mouse mouse (instead of IJKL and M) it'd work pretty well, idk
  • The ways the tongue affects your movement took some getting used to, since it depends on both the direction your aiming as well as the direction your moving/hovering
  • one of the Jomaos on the first level that told me I could pogo over the ice was on a platform that I don't think was reachable without pogoing anyway, so kind of redundant
  • couldn't figure out how to use the lever in the 2nd (grey) level, might've tried an egg but I don't think I had any

game was an unquestionably unique experience, ^_^ good luck with your devving

Feeding back as a sort of liveblog in real time:

  • Loaded into the game, but no graphics seemed to load? Build in the window seems completely unplayable right now. Will check back to see if this is fixed and give full feedback then.
  • Your music is - and this may seem harsh, but I want to be honest - really grating. Especially out of my tinny little laptop speakers. I appreciate that you can mute it, but it really set my teeth on edge.

Thank you for playing.
The graphics are loading as long as the tab still has the little spinning loading thing. if it stops but the graphics didn't load it's busted, but mostly it just takes a while to download all the assets from itch to your computer. because they are numerous and large.
As for the music, it improves through the game.
