Played around in single player.

The movement feels good, it was cool to go around and talk to NPCs and managed to propel myself really high using two rocket launchers. Tried to play online but couldn't find anyone on the server sadly. I know you are deciding between PVP and exploration. I think both can fit nicely if you work on them, so don't worry too much about which one you chose.

I tried to record myself playing, but OBS didn't catch my "start recording" hotkeys so I don't have a video file, sorry.

Did the “singleplayer” for a bit. Fell out of the level a few times seemingly by falling through corners. I really like the banter of the NPCs. Rocketjumping was really fun.

First time playing so my feedback might not be super useful compared to people who have played for a while. Nobody else was online, so I just explored on my own for a bit.

- A 'play' button next to the chat sound in the appearance settings so you don't have to drag the pitch or change the sound to preview it

- Art style is great. Love the tents and little dudes. Morrowclone esque.

- The little dudes' heads turn a full 180 when you walk close behind them (at least the seated ones in the tent)

- I like that you can spam drugs until your screen is entirely bloom and you float into space.

- Dialogue and the expressions on characters is top notch.

- Loving the tools and movement options.

- The characters and world is very interesting. I like the idea of exploring this weird shit with friends - reminds me of exploring WORLDS and other 'metaverses' after they're abandoned.

Overall: Not much to say other than I like where it's going and I feel like there's definitely a market for this kind of thing. Comfy game.

Add the following if you want to make it.

-1000 pieces of armor/cosmetics but you get a single random one out of 500 after winning a multiplayer match. The other 500 are found on the open world single player explorable island you got or whatever. You need unlockable cosmetics for only winning a multiplayer match so the competitveness is there and drives people to keep playing/keep servers alive longer

-10 good maps for deathmatch

-10 good maps for your parkour thing

-10 good maps for your race idea thing

-a new mode with a one life rogue-like/risk of rain in first person mode. PVE and you get random drops for clearing a floor; each floor gets harder there is 100 floors and a final boss. With one life and 10 players or more its entertaining to watch the others still go on if you die. (perhaps revive each other using money but money, monsters and weapons, loot etc needs to be random etc)

-6 hour single player island thing you got going on. The island is segmented into 6 sections with each section taking an hour to complete. Each section has a theme; and each section has one boss maybe you are killing the 5 bosses to unlock the final section and fight a final boss idk. I'd suggest making this have multiplayer too and not just single player at least 2-4 player co-op but idk. Maybe aim for this adventure mode to be similar to a souls/from soft kinda design but a FPS

-improve graphics, models, textures further

-soulful music

you know how it is

I came in; I met god and then I left.

Had a 160 Ping on the Server and nonresponsive Weapons thanks to that. But not much you can do about my bad Ping I guess.

Ony played for a bit, Respawning is very slow on the Server, the Spawnpoints are clearly visible, when they should be hidden, All the Guns fire too slow, if not Way too slow, thats too long of a Cooldown in my Opinion. Projectile for the Harpoon gun also seems rather Slow, I couldn't try it, as noone was online and my Ping trash, but I don't think it'd be able to hit someone with that at least semi-reliably.

I'll play more when theres a public Testtime with actual People online. Hopefully my Connection will also be better then.

Edit:

ParticleColors and Muzzleflash for the Nailgun(?) Seems off, reminded me more of a Biocannon. Also seemed to fly through Player sometimes, but maybe thats due to the Lag.

160 ping??? D: i have 90 ping from where I’m at with current server location. I’ll have to do the math that client prediction even works with 160 ping. technically I can tweak a number but it should impact performance.

I know about the visible respawn points on jt_coldwalls I just was too lazy to fix at 2 AM. I’ll upload a fixed version later.
