Said you ported from Unity to Godot, so I'm trying the ported Version.
Seems to play pretty much exactly the same. No Idea how to get Ressources, no Information what each Unit costs etc.
Slingers are useless.
Moved my Worker onto some Stones, played a nice Animation, but didn't give me any Stone. Killed a Camp, didn't get any Knowledge or anything. Couldn't move on top of a Tree so no Wood. Food slowly running out.
Assuming a Soldier actually stands for a single Soldier and not a Battalion or something, I can actually gather Ressources with placing Workers on that Tile, and build more Buildings like Barracks, Farms, whatever, instead of building them in Town like in Civ, this could be an interesting mix between more low-scale Strategy and 4x like Controls/Design in a Turn based Strategy Game.
Sadly most Things seem to just not be there at the Moment.
Thanks for playing again! Yes, I have spent most of the time on the porting and not actually progressing the game, so it's still not in a proper state. Next DD I submit this to will hopefully be different.
One thing though, resource gathering should be working, but you have to wait until next turn. It's not like it instantly gives you the resource when you start working the tile.
Assuming Ressource gathering is just putting a worker on the tile and waiting, it definetly didn't work. As I said, Stone didn't give anything, and I couldn't move on Wood. no Idea how to get Knowledge or Food either.
I had a crash or a hang or something. I accidentally told a settler to build a settlement on top of the starting settlement, maybe that has something to do with it.
Tried again. Game is hard. I don’t know how I can defend against all these soldiers running around. Maybe I just suck. I probably just suck.
Thanks for the bug report! It is not your fault that you cannot defend against all the soldiers, because I have done zero balancing still. They are basically just sandbox test enemies instead of an actual opponent to beat, at this stage.

Hmm, interesting, I will have to check what is going on. Either way it will be fixed by next time
