Playing two-handed (arrow keys to move + mouse to click) isn't as nice as just using the mouse to move around, so that mouse-snapping bug needs to be fixed. Someone else already mentioned it though.
I didn't even notice the pumpkin animation. Maybe add some zazz when you click on something successfully, like stars coming out from under it? It'd draw your attention in and it's good to have effects that emphasise when the player did something good!
I am under the impression that these types of games live and die by the funny animations that play when you find one of the treasures. You need more big funny animations for when you click on a treasure.
Plan is to setup series of interactions; I have a few special animations for some stuff, but involved interactions is what I think I can go further with it all. Will eventually add audio as well. Thanks!
The following features required to run Godot projects on the Web are missing:
Cross Origin Isolation - Check web server configuration (send correct headers)
SharedArrayBuffer - Check web server configuration (send correct headers)
I then tested on Brave browser and worked fine.
Linux build did not work for me, because
/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.28' not found
but I think that's issue on my end.
You have a really cute style. I loved the lil goblins.
I think the gameplay could be expanded with maybe being required to find objects/characters in correct order and they could also move around after you succeed, but it is not necessary. The simplicity is charming. It reminded me of Perky Little Things, which I really enjoyed playing.
Yeah, the plan is to have multiple series of interactions that are layered/branching. Not only do you have a prop hunt, but you also have a hidden ending hunt and whatnot.
It's working just fine so far. Besides the teleporting around when clicking, there don't seem to be any issues. I think the environment might be a bit too flat and simplistic for the visual noise that this sort of hiding game demands, but I don't even know if you intend it to be final.
I will make more, life has just taken so much of my time and I've been doing tons of pre-production work. Most of the pre production is done, so should be able to crank some nice basic levels and then get to work on advanced gameplay features.
I love this and the art style. Things like the pumpkin "waking up" is a great touch. It was totally by coincidence that I found out you could hover over the tents, I think that could be clearer. With more levels, I would definitely buy something like this
(fwiw, regarding performance, I played on chrome and didn't notice any issues like what mccad mentioned)
Not much game yet but your art assets are very well done. A nice consistent style, micro pixel art is something i think a lot of people underestimate. Poor performance when dragging the camera around in Brave browser, might be a browser exclusive issue

Needs music, sound effects, etc.
Ambience would help a ton for this type of game and was immediately bored after not hearing any feedback when clicking on things / looking around.

Cute game.
That bug is browser specific and engine level as well, can't really do anything about it :(
If you play download build, it won't happen.
Yeah, tons of small QoL features I have on my todo list like confirmation that you found/activated stuff.

Get some of these and compress them down to like 3 bytes: https://pixabay.com/sound-effects/search/audience/

That sounds nice. I look forward to future updates

I have hunted all your minis, make more minis. I want more levels and randomized assignments please, and some cute music.
