I really like how it showed you more and more of the gameplay loop as you progressed rather than all at once. The gameplay is unique and combines a variety of tactics. Cant wait to see where this game ends up. Had a lot of fun trying to speedrun it.
Thanks for playing. The game still probably overloads players with a lot of information from the start, so I am happy to read you think I do a good job at progressively introducing different parts of the game. I will work hard not to disappoint you in future demo days to come.
I do think there was a little bit too much info overall, having to learn all the gameplay is hard enough and then on top of it you have to learn the resort system, but you did a good job trying to explain it all. Keep up the good work I wasn't disappointed at all!
First time playing this game. I played the tutorial and some dungeon runs. Gameplay wise, I find it fun because of the speed and I really like doing the parkour stuff. It can be a complicated at first because there are so many mechanics being introduced one after another plus the mana management thing, but after my mind adapted to the game, it's fun to jump and dash around while finding the guest. Also, I'm not sure how the lewd stuff is gonna work in the future.
Thanks for playing. The lewd stuff is gonna be added in more distant future. All guest rooms are going to be replaced with their own specific rooms and guests are going to be doing "activities" in them.
The map makes it much easier for me now, though I still sometimes make a mental path and then it gets thrown out of the window. The new way to select orbs meshes a lot better with the gameplay and some text getting cut is welcome.
I had difficulties with the super jump. I tried to use it on one instance but it kept triggering accidentally or getting ruined by hitting the bottom of the mushroom. Vertical rooms are still too challenging for me.
I recommend watching the video, it can say more about the test run that I can do with words. The long pause after I got stuck was because I had to go to the door, I swear it wasn't because I was mad or anything like that lmao.
Hmm I was hyped for this from reading the description. And sure enough the he lore ingame is funny and even these mock-up cutscenes are cute. Bit disappointed by the gameplay though.
The management stage feels overly complicated. I like the guest unlocks - have not understood the point of the Tags. Is the idea that eventually you can combine tags as you wish creating all kinds of customers? I also like rolling the Seal unlocks.
It’s cool that there is no death in the dungeon runs. The slime is kinda boring to be in, though.
Confused by the Mana system. At first I thought it was Rightclick that needed Mana, but eventually it seemed that Jumping alone also uses Mana? This is all very painful because apparently getting to/away from the Mirror always requires 1 Mana, or I guess multiple Mana, and I am just standing there waiting for Mana and actually not quite understanding why I am even out of Mana.
I feel picking up the game would be much more enjoyable if the basic movement was awesome and fun and cost nothing, and limited-use movement abilites are optional, for tryharding. Something the player can grow into. Idk, have severe skill issues in games like this tbh, so take this opinion as you will.
In terms of technology I seemed to get stuck on ledges sometimes, or it was the engine lagging.
Hey thanks for playing, the vod is useful for me to see what the issues were.
First thing I want to say is you made the game much harder because you never used SPRINT (it's shift). All rooms are beatable with no mana, but you do gotta sprint to make some longer jumps. I am not sure if you not knowing how to sprint is my fault. There is a tutorial on the title screen, but I thought it would be better if it was optional and players could jump right into the game. I though players would at least figure it out if they checked the controls.

Again, I am glad I got the VOD to see what the problem was. At some point you switched to your Power Jump ability and holding jump key activates it, which consumes mana. Mana is used for dashing (right click) and different jumping abilities but not basic jump.
I am honestly not sure if you would have a better time playing if you did the tutorial first. I think the biggest problem was not sprinting at all.

Different tags are required for guests and other things. Some Guests share the same tags fr example goblins and western orcs both require green skin to be unlocked before you get them. I am happy you managed to unlock western kobolds and got to see them in the dungeon.
I am not sure if you not knowing how to sprint is my fault.
Not really, but in a game like this I feel sprinting can be the default. Walking slowly will only be relevant for very specific spots that require precise positioning?

Yeah, I think it’s a cool angle but the presentation is a bit technical. There could just be a list of things, and discounts that are shown when hovering the price or so - lore "Western Orc are excited to visit because Goblins are already at your resort"
I mean I liked looking through the Tags, but I unlocked Demonical on a whim and then realized it did really nothing for me. If every single Tag by itself already had an effect, I feel that would be cooler.
There is an option for having sprint as a toggle. It's not on by default because it also makes a big difference in air movement, so you want to maintain control of that as a player.

Yeah, I get what you mean. The Trait type Tags such as Demonic is required for characters like imps and succubi, but they don't do anything themselves.
"Western Orc are excited to visit because Goblins are already at your resort"
I got some flavour text for them, but not much. In future unlocking different tags is also going to be required for some story cutscenes.
Thanks for playing again. I hope if you play in future you are going to be able to make use out of sprinting and other mechanics (maybe try the tutorial). I downloaded your game, but I have not gotten to it yet. I am not an RTS player, but I will try to do my best.
Ah, very nice. Armed with that I shall I give it another shot next DD at the latest.
I am not an RTS player, but I will try to do my best.
Yeah, it seems that players who aren’t RTS veterans have a hard time making sense of my game right now. I mean, it can all be gleaned from what is there - but that will be a puzzle. I recommend reading through the DD comments page to pick up some guidance.

It's mainly just UI, balancing, and fixes.
My December was pretty nodev. I hope I am going to be able to work on actual new content and features for next DD.
