I'm not a go person, and honestly don't really know how to play. I put the cube way small, and had some fun games with the AI! I think starting on the 3x3 would overwhelm less players from the start, even though the 6x6 does look more impressive. If you wanted to add more features, a replay feature would be cool, especially if you could pause, rewind, move the board around ETC.
And this is very weird, but I feel like this would be 1000% times better in VR. Just a crazy idea.
Addition of node id on hover is solid, at some point of time one would have to consider allowing player to rotate cube by drag motion. I was a firm believe in '99% of people including me are too dumb to actually play it' but then again '5D Chess With Multiverse Time Travel' sold pretty well.
Everyone say's they can't but eventually when they play they do pretty well. The AI was busted, but works now. Maybe give it a try on a small board, 3x3x3 or 4x4x4 maybe.

Très beau. I got impatient waiting for someone to play with me. The ai autoplay feature is neat.
Thanks for the heads up, I forgot to turn off the autoplay from debugging the AI yesterday.
