I got Filtered by level 6.

I think it could be split into 2 levels since getting to the right side is already quite tricky.

I got to level 6 with 12 deaths
Nearly 200 deaths later, I still couldn't finish that level
This idle pose is really cute, but I do not understand where all that pink comes from
This game really needs audio. The only excuse I would accept at this point is if you are deaf yourself, and you plan on commissioning some audio guy at the very end. With that said, you should really add audio sooner, than later. It is another thing to test after all.

The respawn effect is really cool, but it can get quite intense with as many deaths as I got.

That is pretty nice.

As another person mentioned the costume closet stops working after completing the game. I completed the game again on hard and it still wouldn't unlock :(

Controls are tight and while the difficulty is tough, the precision platforming really starts to shine on replays. I can't wait to see potential speedrun shenanigans. Aesthetics are also on point.

I do fear the booba might hinder its potential for wider appeal though. Maybe a "streamer mode" option could work? Could just have it so the fanservice cgs don't show up on stage complete, since the game is pretty sfw otherwise. Up to you though, I'd buy it regardless.

The girl is cute, so I drew her, hope you like it.

The costume closet unlocks again if you exit and re-enter the game.

Costumes unlock is a mistake I made for the demo. Deleting save file should fix it.

I understand the diminishing returns I will have from the characters suggestive NSFW direction. It actually started off as a joke that carried on but I have gone back and forth with NSFW and SFW but I don't think I'll change it again.

Thank you for the illustration.

Fun as ever. Beating easy mode to locked the costume closet, which seems backwards.

The costumes seem nice, but their idle animations seems to give you a different costume. I don't know if that's because you haven't implemented the sprites yet or if it's pointing to the wrong sprites, but it seems worth mentioning.

Did you implement that code you mentioned in the thread yet? Could I get a hint?

Developer

I unlocked the costumes to get feedback but didn't realize it would lock them once you beat the game. That is unintended. Deleting the save file should unlock it again.
I have been adding mood expressions based on the number of deaths (every +250 deaths, she becomes less and less enthusiastic) and redesigning all sprites and but they aren't fully complete yet, that's why some states such as idle animations aren't updated yet.
If you're referring to the cheat code, yes it is implemented but it will only affect the level transition scenes. I forgot to update it for the score screen. Cheat code explanation on game page under Log section.

Thanks, I'd looked at your page but I somehow missed the code. The illustrations are very nice; I thought she'd look unbalanced but it's very nice.

Speaking of level transitions and score screens, are you planning to redo those for the different costumes? I'd assume not, but you've surprised me in the past.

Does her expression change based on deaths over the whole lifetime of a save, or just the current run? That's a super cool touch.

Developer

No plans to create different transition screens for each costume because I dont know how many I will have although I did sketch a couple based on costumes for fun. So far there are around 40 screens but some need to be rescaled or redone.

There are 4 expressions [<250 deaths], [251-500], [501-750], [>751] and they are tied to the current number of deaths of each playthrough. So if you are playing Easy mode and enter the elevator to load the game to carry on with the playthrough it should change her expression accordingly. Likewise if you start Hard mode or enter Easy mode it will reset death count to 0 as will her expression back to default.

Gave it another go. The different expressions are a nice touch, though I think the number of deaths requires should probably be different for hard and easy mode - you've got a lot more time to die over and over on a difficult part in easy mode, after all.

I actually got the alternate version on the score screen; The game seems to give you a weird score screen when you beat easy mode with 250+ deaths; I seem to always get one of these poses, rather than the regular win screen. I don't think it's related to whether you've entered the code.

I haven't tested the 500-750 range, but 750+ seems to work as normal.

Also I finally noticed the display glitching out on the floor after 12 to avoid displaying an unlucky number. That's a cute touch.

Gameplay is excellent, controls are amazing. Only missing thing is music and a lot more levels, otherwise it plays like a finished game.

The costume door was unlocked from the start but locked when i completed the game. I feel that should be the opposite ?

Also when dying in quick succession (level 15) sometimes the death sound does not play.

sweet. please add controller support!

I liked it a lot and the aesthetic is amazing! Even if you don't include joystick support (which I hope you will) you've won another customer.

Cute aesthetics, I like the new effects that were added to power jumping in your game. I would add some kind of sound effect that plays after every 50th death, especially when floor 15 is a thing.

I've always been terrible at precision platformers, but I decided to give this a try. This game's super cute, and I appreciate the ability to change the character's costume to something less lewd. Sitting idle for a little while in the school outfit caused the outfit to change colours at one point. I waited around to see if it'd happen again, and the idle animation didn't play before I decided to continue playing. As I said, I'm terrible at these kinds of games, so I'm not the target audience and I don't have any real useful feedback to give. The art is super cute and cozy, though, and watching other people who are good at these kinds of games play it is super entertaining.
