Track description | Creative process
I wanted to make a piece that fused blues and metal because of Axl's 20th century origins and guilty gear's metal heavy soundtrack, but the only thing I ended up keeping was the 12 bar blues structure in the main section of the song.
The guitar melody was not recorded on a guitar, but instead on my bass pitched up by 2 octaves.
This is my first time making metal, so any constructive criticism from any metal fans would be appreciated.

Love the deep meaty tone of the drums. Percussion and bass are well done. Wasn't too fond of the feedback around 2:07. Considering this song's slow tempo, it sounds like it'd be more suitable for a big man character like Potemkin, IMO. However, it was overall an enjoyable grunge rock song.
Nice job! I like the Kashmir vibe at the beginning.
This jam is also my first time making a metal track, so can't give too much help there. But I'd say some things that could probably help are a crunchier bass (maybe the distortion that cjee mentioned) and some more dynamic changes (the drum fills are great but it doesn't feel like the song is aiming for any particular point)
Nice submission! To get a heavier sound, you should do two rhythm guitars panned all the way to either sound. For rock and metal, you kinda have to compress the crap out of everything. Your bass could use some distortion and heavier compression to keep the volume more consistent. Great ideas in this piece!!
