  • Art-style: the sprites were consistent and well-animated (and adorable main character!) It would be cool to see the same line style on the backgrounds and envrionment to make it more cohesive. Gameplay-wise, the game loop is simple and understandable. The controls feel good for a side-scroller, but the jump could be improved with a bit of gravity. I love the thematic approach of an enraged sheep battling wolves, but I don't think it matches this 'great power, great responsibility' theme. Very enjoyable side-scroller. And great work implementing a 'tutorial' level to onboard your players. Good work!
  • For a game made by many new game developers, this was a very endearing little game. The art and theme is very cute. I would recommend that the inputs should stay a little bit more consistent. For example, the action button for attacking shouldn't be a different button than the one for opening cages. This makes the game a little bit less intuitive. I've also noticed that the animations need to be fixed a little. There seems to be triggers that are not being set off correctly for the animation state machine. Overall though, very great effort! you should be proud of yourselves for doing a complete game for the first time!
  • Great backbone for a solid platforming game. Like the double jump, though it was a little stiff (but strangely was in love with the sound it made.) Biggest criticism is the delay in a lot of the state resolutions; when delays on cause and effect reactions is more than a second the player really feels discomfort. The animations on the sheep running are wonderful. Overall a very solid entry!
  • Great start! Controls need to be refined (it's very hard to control in the current state, I died a lot!), and the level needs quite a bit more polish so that it can look as good as the characters.
  • The game is adorable! Both the Sheep and the Wolf have some great animations. Its also awesome that you created two separate levels (including the tutorial level). There were a couple of bugs I ran into when it came to taking damage, but aside from that I think everything worked as expected. The reversal of the theme was an unexpected twist. I don't think it was as well realized as it could have been, but the fact that you went for it was great!

Really cute design and I loved how you took the theme another way around.

I was excited to see this one. I saw the concept art in the discord. I love that a tutorial was included. I know it was probably a testing level ;) but it's a nice feature. Animations are great but  it seems you exit the death animation upon left-clicking after death back into the idle animation. Easily one of our favourites <3

Very cute, I recommend a grey outline for the spikes since everything in the foreground seems to have an outline.

Feels like a speedrunning game. Smooth controls and great animations
