Really, really good, the amount of polish and depth to this Jam game is extremely shocking and extremely well done, absolute breath of fresh air. Kudos.
Very enjoyable game to learn, impressed with the amount of polish here!
On my first try, I did not really get when to select cards and when I have to click the lower right button. Great theme and implementation though! I just think it would benefit you needed to click less on the action button on the lower right corner.
Appreciate the feedback!
I think the game could use more telegraphing and keyboard controls. Also, I feel like I could clean up the resolution step. Will have to do some brainstorming!
I loved this game! Took me 3 tries to finally "get it", but then I was able to successfully navigate the politics of this world and retire successfully. It pained me to have to boost the oligarchs in order to keep myself alive at one point! The first time I lost I didn't understand why, so maybe an explanation at the end of who/what killed you would be good.
Agreed! The end is a little abrupt. I think some sort of telegraphing would help the player understand what went wrong / what’s just about to go wrong.
I retired - exactly as planned.
I really liked the short story snippets throughout the game.
I must admit, getting killed in a revolution turn one was quite funny. However, I did get a traceback after playing for some more than ten rounds:
Apparently you can deck out?
Note, I'm not using any of the blobs shipped, instead running Fennel and LÖVE from Guix.
Appreciate the traceback!
There is an odd bug where a card is drawn outside the bounds of the weighted deck. I thought I had squashed it before submitting, but it looks like its popped up twice right at the end of turn 9 when you are supposed to be transitioning to the win screen :/
The only thing I like more than a digital card game is a digital card game underpinned by an extensive geopolitical landscape. Great work.
I got murdered. But honestly I feel like I deserved it.
Great presentation! I loved the music and the jokes.
I’m not sure I fully grasped the rules or the point of the card game, and it felt a little bit slow.
The game froze when I reached the last round (I may have lost? I don’t really know what happened), so I did not get to enjoy my tropical paradise :(
Oh no! Did you get a blue screen with an error message and a traceback?
I had a transient bug where when dealing a card in the deck “could not be found”.
I was playing the web version so unfortunately not.
