Really, really good, the amount of polish and depth to this Jam game is extremely shocking and extremely well done, absolute breath of fresh air. Kudos.

I loved this game! Took me 3 tries to finally "get it", but then I was able to successfully navigate the politics of this world and retire successfully. It pained me to have to boost the oligarchs in order to keep myself alive at one point! The first time I lost I didn't understand why, so maybe an explanation at the end of who/what killed you would be good.
I retired - exactly as planned.
I really liked the short story snippets throughout the game.
I must admit, getting killed in a revolution turn one was quite funny. However, I did get a traceback after playing for some more than ten rounds:
Error: render-card.lua:353: bad argument #2 to 'format' (no value) stack traceback: [string "boot.lua"]:777: in function <[string "boot.lua"]:773> [C]: in function 'format' render-card.lua:353: in function 'card_draw0' sample-card.lua:83: in function 'draw_pot' sample-card.lua:336: in function 'sample_card' mode-game.lua:353: in function 'draw' [string "boot.lua"]:618: in function <[string "boot.lua"]:594> [C]: in function 'xpcall'
Apparently you can deck out?
Note, I'm not using any of the blobs shipped, instead running Fennel and LÖVE from Guix.
The only thing I like more than a digital card game is a digital card game underpinned by an extensive geopolitical landscape. Great work.
I got murdered. But honestly I feel like I deserved it.
Great presentation! I loved the music and the jokes.
I’m not sure I fully grasped the rules or the point of the card game, and it felt a little bit slow.
The game froze when I reached the last round (I may have lost? I don’t really know what happened), so I did not get to enjoy my tropical paradise :(
