really liked the way you move the slide mechanic for the player makes it harder and more interesting.

the visuals where simple yet they fit well. the audio was good. i would have liked an explanation of what im doing first because it was a bit confusing.

also please play and rate my game.

You cant kill the turrets you are just have to block the bullets from hitting the rockets. You get more points the more rockets that are alive and the + signs gave you one more life (did you not read the explanation in the starting area).

With a bit of graphical improvements and some more content this could turn into a very addicting mobile game.

I enjoyed the game, and loved the way the player moved. The SFX was good aswell. The main thing to work on next time I think is maybe the graphics. Overall really good.

If its not a hassle could you rate my game too?

Thanks for the feedback. I am not that great at art so in short game jams i try do gameplay first, sfx/music second, then if I have time art/polishing and that was the post-processing and the text this time.

I tried to download but there was some problem with doing that so Im restarting my computer and trying again tomorrow.

Neat game.

Controlling the player by attracting it with the mouse was fun and challenging.

The art and SFX aren’t the best tho. Some of the sound effects feel too slow, since they should feel snappy and quickly react to what happens, but several of them have long build up times. I think it’d also be good to have some sort of icon in the UI to show that the red number means “health” (you could use a heart for this), or that the blue number means highscore (you could use a trophy for this).

The tutorial also needs some work, since the current image version is kind of convoluted and not very clear. Also I’m not sure that the teleporting powerup is the best idea, as it doesn’t make much sense with the rest of the game, and you can’t communicate it elegantly through its icon (unlike the health powerup, which is clear).

For the sound affects I used SFXR and I theres a way to do it super quickly but it could pause the game for a bit.

I'm glad you enjoyed. I made a tutorial that plays when you play and your high score is 0 but for some reason the high score starts at 2. That also showed what the UI meant.

  • Theme: Good.
  • Audio: Could be improved. I think you can add sound to the turret shooting and the the "enemy" spawn. The music is okay.
  • Visuals: Perfect.
  • Gameplay: Sounds like walking in an ice and slidding nonstop. It added a very nice touch to the game, although it is very dificult as the pick-ups appear only sometimes and the turret spawn are rare.

Congratulations on the game.

Thanks for the in-depth feedback.

  • Theme: Thanks
  • Audio: I just used music from another game I made and it worked well enough. I didnt add the turret shooting because it shoots every few seconds I didnt want it to seem like it was part of the song and with the rockets I thought the red was good enough.
  • Visuals: I guess you liked the retro vibe.
  • Gameplay: I had other pick-ups planned and it been more common if there were more. The turrets spawn whenever you get 5,10,15... and so on rockets in the game at the same time, I was debating doing it with 3s but its pretty hard as it is.

What was your high score?

Submitted

Ya. i like the retro.

I think it was 503 my score.

Developer(+1)

You can see the high score in the starting area (its the blue text)

Fun concept, good interpretation of the theme!

I think the graphism could be a lot better with a better color choice. Try to find a color palette on internet maybe!

(my High Score: 646)

Thanks. I was trying to go with neon colors or something to get a retro vibe and I think it kinda worked out but I could have done better.

The art is a little jarring at first but it grew on me, I think it fits the game really well. Mechanically I think this game plays the best of any I've played from this jam so far, I love the mouse movement, it's weirdly intuitive. The audio is simple but fits the cool retro vibe. Well done, the only complaint I have is I didn't completely understand the tutorial until I read the comments

Thanks im glad you liked it. Im disappointing the tutorial didnt happen because I made it but it didnt show up I'll try to make a better text one the one I made was kinda last second (as you can tell). What was your high score?

Im gonna try your game it looks cool.

Hello.

What I like:

- The music. Calm music and I was needing it.

- The idea of the game. Like dodging rockets with this kind of weird "Physics" is fun.

What I think could improve:

- I don't like the SFX when a rocket is destroyed.

Suggestions:

- Add a tutorial IN GAME explaining each of those numbers. Your UI is kinda complicated without explanation.

My high-score: Nice high-score btw

Yeah... that made me think it was like Rocket Farm 2 ( the second game )

Developer(+1)

Oh then it became rocket farm 690 lol.
